Typhoon? What Typhoon?

After watching the BBC news I thought I’d see what it was like to fly through Typhoon Nanmadol in Japan.Obviously not something one would do in the real-world but this is Microsoft Flight Simulator right? It simulates flight.

What a fail. Well the weather looked menacing enough but as you can see it was as smooth as silk apart from brief moments of “gusts”. Really disappointing and it totally kills any realism (for me at least).

I know that MSFS can be great. I even used MSFS visuals in a dance track.

It’s just so frustrating that they haven’t bothered to model the effects of weather on aircraft. It has been nearly two years Asobo :frowning:

Just flew out of RJTR where the METAR looks challenging and this time I found some mild gusts and turbulence at last!

The simulation of weather is still very toned down which is disappointing but at least I had to keep my hand on the yoke during this flight.

Please Asobo give us realistic weather effects on aircraft. Just include an OFF switch for those people who don’t want realism?
