Ever dreamed of becoming an air traffic controller? Why not start here?!
This will be the first event for UK ATC (Air traffic control for the United Kingdom)! Join us on the 7th February at 1430 Zulu time for an introduction to air traffic controlling.
The idea of the event is to help new air traffic controllers get acquainted with controlling on EuroScope. We’ll be giving the attendees the opportunity to do one of two things:
- Fly out of EGPH (where the ATC will be).
- Attend as a trainee controller and learn how to become an ATCO in the UK, as well as getting some live controlling time in.
Please note: UK ATC is intended to provide a realistic ATC service, so we ask you maintain a professional manor when on frequency at all times (no talking, only on Safetycom 135.480!). Also, make sure to link your Flight Events client to your Discord so you will get automatic frequency switching from your simulator!
Pilots can expect ATC from around 1500 Zulu onwards, and trainee controllers will get a 30 minute slot controlling each.
