UK Mesh in MSFS-2024 broken since launch

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Whenever the camera view is close to the ground in the UK the ground mesh dynamically shifts up or down as I move around. The 3D ground features like rocks, grass, plants, hay bales etc also don’t appear for me. In the area where I’ve found the mesh elevation shift to be most extreme (Shetland Isles) I’ve seen these 3D ground objects below the level I’m walking on through the cracks in the mesh. I’ve attached screenshots to better illustrate the issue.

ICAO, coordinates, or specific location:

I’ve found this issue around all of England and Wales & most of Scotland (West of Kintyre works normally, like the rest of the world). I’ve even found the line running North/South where the change in ground meshes occurs (Goes through Dunaverty Golf Club at the end of the Kintyre peninsula).

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

I have nothing in the community folder for 2024. I have 2 mods in the community folder for 2020. I have however purchased the Orbx UK high res mesh add on form the market place. I’ve just deleted this from my MSFS 2020 game but it has had no effect in 2024. In fact I can see the Orbx mesh is being ‘streamed’ by default in 2024. I can’t find a way to swich this add on off to see if it’s causing the conflict I’m experiencing.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time I visit these affected areas (mentioned above) in MSFS 2024.

UPDATE:

I’ve now managed to “fix” the ground displacement issue by switching off Displacement Mapping in the Graphics Setting. The 3D grass, plants, rocks, etc still don’t materialise in the affected UK areas. The Video shows me walking along the North/South boundary line between the problem area on the righthand side and the unaffected area on the left.

The more I think about it, I’m pretty sure it’s to do with my Orbx British Isles mesh add-on that is set to “streamed” in 2024.

Does anyone know a way to disable/delete this add-on? It’s not needed anymore and is just spoiling my experience in the areas I want to explore.

MSFS 2024 has now stopped streaming in 2020 scenery add-ons by default. This has fixed the issue I was experiencing in the UK areas confirming my previous suspension about the mesh add-on I had installed in 2020. Everything is working as it should now.
