I am interested in flying with people online but none of my friends are interested in flight simulators .
Is there any clubs that meet up regularly to fly. I enjoy the 172 and TBM but would also like to learn the heavyweights too.
UK time zone.

You could always start up a group yourself.
I too am UK based, but only really interested in GA flying.
Not done any multi flying since the days of Flight but interested in giving it a go
I would also like to join a UK Group, I’m based in Denver, Colorado and would be happy to provide some Rockey Mountain GA trips if anyone is interested.
If you guys want to hook up for a flight sometime I would be into that. The rockies would be great! I don’t know how to yet, I think we all have to have a Microsoft xbox I’d, we become friends in the sim and the host invites. Would love to give it a go. There is a server I use in discord for il2 could be used.
cixvfrclub . We fly several times weekly, usually on VATSIM, lots of 172s and similar, there’s also a helicopter group and a stunt flying group. Mostly there’s a suggested flight plan, about an hour or so, with ATC at both ends usually, but you can go any way you like.
Would the timezone of group members pose a problem especially as the Op initially asked about UK clubs?
We here are UTC-0.
I have made a few UK Bush Trips and uploaded them to my copy of MSFS.
I briefly checked out the club website. It looks really good. I especially like the training available. I have always wanted to use vatsim but haven’t as I didn’t want to make an idiot of myself . It’s great that the club recognises that for some this is a barrier.
@ Hockeyguy51 & ScarceSquire946 check it out @ https://www.cixvfrclub.org.uk.
I will definitely be following this up.
Well, its the same few people doing the ATC so they’re used to people who are just starting. On Tuesdays there are about 10-20 of us so there are plenty to follow and you’ll get the general idea. There is also some VFR 1:1 training which is very good. But it is a bit nerve racking the first time you hit the talk button … but people get over it quickly.
We usually fly about 7-8 in the evening Zulu time. We have quite a few non UK members but most of those are European, which is down to the time zone I suspect. There are some from further afield though
I went to register and discovered that I already had done a few years ago. I must have registered and not followed up, can’t remember why.
I have sent a forgotten password email and await the response. Set up with Vat sim also. I will need the teamspeak details. I can get that once I gain access. Looks good. Looking forward to it, will bring some life to the sim.
Many thanks for posting the links.
I’ll head over there and Register when I next boot up my PC.
Teamspeak is on the forum. This gives you guest access. If you want to fly (say) Tuesday at 7pm if you get there a bit early one of the admins will promote you to user so you can access TS. Might be worth posting a note saying so in the right forum then someone will keep an eye open for you
I wasn’t able to connect earlier after I got teamspeak address and password from website. That would explain why. I have already posted a query on forum under tech issues. I also asked about basic training in the training forum. All set up and ready to roll. Thanks for heads up. Cya in the sky’s soon
I can definitely recommend CiX VFR Club - I was with them for a while, quite a few years ago now. I only left because I’m not keen on VATSIM UK and that meant few group flights (though we did some in other areas of Europe which weren’t actually covered).
Well organised and friendly bunch of people.
Got teamspeak sorted, I was using a password and address that was an old forum post. I was directed to the current one. Just messaged Max to enquire about an icebreaker.
