Now retired, I can join anytime with some kind of warning. I must read up on Discord voice use. I have only ever mastered Zoom some while ago. Still at learning stage, Always grateful for your help.

Hello UK flight simmers
I’m an ex-GA VFR pilot in the Bristol area. Tend to use Compton Abbas, Oaksey Park, Eaglescott, etc, etc, a lot. But anywhere else will do! Mainly VFR/IMC using (LittleNav) map, stopwatch, stick and compass, together with Live Players and Real Weather options set.
But also VFR/IFR in the A320NX (etc) with all the gizmos.
Anyone fancy a VFR rally meet?
PS Haven’t worked out how to detect Live Players on Little NavMap yet. Anyone got a solution/alternative?

See my recent post (about 1615 or so on 06/01/22) . We could try a joint GA trip around the Bristol circuit this evening?
If it’s on, I’ll set non-real time for 12:00 start and custom weather of few clouds and then wait at the 27 threshold of EGGD in a Cessna 170, to see what happens. Let me know if you can make it and we can agree on a real time of start and route.

SkyVector has it at around 35 minutes but if we touch and go some of the on routes it might take longer.

Yes, I’ll be there on the threshold at 8 pm, in a Cessna 170. Touch & goes ok! Probably do the reverse sortie as well.

PS I’ll set standard daytime conditions, so the threshold at EGHA will be on 26.

T&G: Goodwood (EGHR | 14/32 | 109")
Destination: Shoreham (EGKA | 02/20 | 7" | NDB 332)
After departure fly 110 degrees to Beaulieu (old WW2 airfield)
Then pick GWC (VOR 114.75) heading 83 towards Lee-on-Solent & Goodwood
Depart Goodwood on heading 96 to Shoreham.
Saw you doing your C & B’s at Bristool. I’ll try Bristol again, some evenings.

Hi. I’ll be at 26 EGHA at 20:00 (real time!). Will be flying 1500’ QNH in the cruise (about 98 knt ASI) and will keep with the pack of flyers who hopefully turn up. I’ll be using stopwatch and whiskey compass for nav. Wotsa NDB?

"Wotsa NDB? " Non-directional Beacon. I guess you are looking for a particular beacon. It’s a long time since I used the beacons in IFR in FSX so too rusty to help.
Thanks joedoe - I was only joking! Not having much luck linking up with flying buddies, though. So having a coffee now, sitting next to the 170 at Compton 26. Ho hum …
