Ultra Beginner - a simple question

I made a small tweak to an existing livery just for my own use/pleasure. Figured it out in the end (never done anything like this before) but just for future reference I wonder if someone can answer me a simple question please?

Whilst I was tuning the positions and sizes of the logos I added, I was just overwriting the PNG.DDS files. But even upon reloading the aircraft, even if I loaded a different livery on it first, the changes do not show up in the sim until I do a full reload of the game. Is that correct?

Also not sure it matters but I used the Photoshop DDS plugin to save the file, didn’t change any of the settings, but in File Explorer the thumbnail is no longer generated on the files I saved. It still works fine so I assume it’s not a big issue.

Confirm, changes made in a texture don’t apply when the game is loaded, you need to restart the sim

However, it is possible to paint directly on the model, mostly avoiding trial and errors

Thanks for the tips
I wasn’t doing anything so complex to warrant needing to paint in 3D… maybe for my next project!

I just stuck some Ferrari badges on the Cabri sides and a small one on the nose (and the thumbnail)…

Quite satisfying!
