I am brand new to Microsoft Flight SImulator 2024, I play on STEAM (bought on STEAM) and therefore on PC.
I have an annoying problem because once the game is installed, I can choose the plane and the airport. However, when I want to change them, the plane of my first choice and the airport remain those of my first flight after installing the game. I have to uninstall and reinstall the game before I can change the plane and airport.
What’s more, on my EFB, the location of my plane is completely lost and moves with my mouse.
I’m a bit lost with this problem and I don’t know what to do.
Do you have a clue or a solution to solve this problem?
I have not heard about this bug before, maybe someone else has but it might be useful for someone to help if they could visualise the issues if you post some screenprints showing exactly the process you follow to produce the fault.

So I created a Youtube video showing you a free flight in Kalamata with the Red Bull plane. As I explained above, I just reinstalled the game so everything works fine.

I then created a second free flight where I select Geneva airport with the CESNA 175, and that’s when we see that the load takes us to Greece like the previous flight. From now on, the only way to make a free flight in another location is to uninstall and reinstall the game.
PS: I’ve also shown you my EFB, which I don’t think is any good either (I’m not sure) because the location of my plane depends on my mouse

What happens on your desired second flight if you select the aircraft from the WM, and then select the departure and arrival airports in the EFB Route box?

Definately a bug issue for me. A flight from Switzerland in a 172 should not but teleporting you to Greece even in a red bull plane. I cannot say whether anyone else has had this issue but try to contact Zendesk and see what they say about it. Your video would be necessary for them to see the issue for sure.
I only turned on the game (my last game session was the one I shared above on youtube). As you can see, there’s the departure and destination in Geneva with The CESNA 175.
However once I launch the flight I’m off to Kalamata which has stayed in my memory (the first flight after reinstalling the game)
I contacted support. They said the computer’s clock was not set correctly. I followed the steps below, and now it works perfectly. Thank you, everyone!
You may have non-ascii characters in your Windows username. Example:

There are several solutions to fix this problem.
Enable “Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support”
Open settings, go to Date & Time settings > Region
Under "related settings" select "Additional date, time & regional settings
Click on Region then open the Administrative tab
Click on "Change system locale" and check the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" tick-box.
