Unable to click Play in MS Store - Gaming Services

My msfs has been acting strange for a few days. Marketplace stopped working, Then this morning it wanted a disk inserted to complete start up. Then after multiple tries it took me to the update page which id clicked “update” then it shut the sim down. Now when I try to start it takes me directly to the Microsoft store for a download of something that has no real description. Not happening.

Tried to get hold of Microsoft support online who want a credit card before forwarding me on to somewhere else.

Finally found a phone number that simply says all support is now online.

I’m in Canada…If anyone has a phone number to a real live person at MS i would greatly appreciate it otherwise I am hooped with ever getting this sim working again.

If someone else has had a similar experience perhaps you could share it.

Try showing people a screenshot of what it is that MS-Store wants you to download/install?

You need gaming services to play the sim - which is almost certainly part of the issue. Does this install correcttly?

Clicking on play from this page and simply nothing happens - it does not start.

If you do not have the xbox app installed… install it. It will install gaming services.

If you do have xbox installed, uninstall it. Restart your PC. Then re-install xbox app. This should force gaming services to download again.

Another app that will force gaming services is the xbox console companion app.

Searching around the forums apparently there are others who have had similar problems.

Right now I am at the point to give up on ever getting this thing going again. As previously stated when i try to start msfs it simply takes me directly to the store and a gaming services page. The entire sim is still installed on my machine and I am being prevented from starting it…

When I looked into re-downloading again the only option I am presented is to purchase it again. Microsoft does not answer the phone when calling support. Something appears not to be right here.

Try authenticating with the store, and xbox gaming apps.

1.877.696.7786 Canada. Just got off the phone about marketplace purchases not going thru. Contact store dealer, nope, they said it was you Microsoft with the button problem. Mine use to be dark but not are ok, but still cant purchase anything. Now they say contact Asobo. How, where? Just a run around. Now my settings are in RED, and a stuck window saying Please Wait, applying settings. Great. Might just go back to NHL Hockey 22. LOL< and I thought I was avoiding headaches by staying away from a pc. Gangsters!
