Oh boy oh boy, I just understood what your point with the help of AI. I found the transversal keyboard in the controls presets and you know what, IT WORKS !!! Yes, thank you so much, I’m so glad to be able to edit now.
That makes me wonder what wasn’t bound before to CTRL.
I don’t know but probably because I remapped the entire keyboard for my own use with a new set. So surely I deleted an important command for SDK but I thought when changing a keyboard mapping was only affecting the planes. Seems it’s also linked with SDK.
Maybe it’s the command I deleted when remapping my keyboard. It’s the only command using CTRL alone.
I got it. I added this option into my remapped keyboad and it works. I removed it and it don’t. So that’s the command to protect when you want to do a cleanup in your keyboard commands.
I suggested to use the Transversal option because I read it somewhere several months ago and it worked for me, but I had no idea it was because of “Sparse Selection” not being bound to CTRL. I’d much rather use my own keyboard option but I’ve been switching so it would work. I bound that control and it’s working on my own profile now. I had no idea that was the missing component… so thanks to you for letting me know!
Another question for you. I corrected one hydrobase north of Vancouver by adjusting the water level to sea level but where the hydrobase is located, I have a very big hill that I can’t flatten. How I can change the hydrobase elevation ? With airport tool ?
I draw a polygon and use the Teraforming option. It tends to be unpredictable as to what is impacts around it, but give that a try.
I tried and don’t work. So I have to change the airport elevation. In fact all three hydrobases have a wrong altitude ranging from 185 to 477 feet as they are supposed to be at sea level as they are just along pacific ocean.
Oh, I’m sorry. That’s just to flatten what’s selected in the polygon. I’m not sure about how to set at a specific elevation. My GUESS is that you’d have to create a new airport to set the elevation in its properties.
Maybe it’s a solution to look at. Thanks.
Thank you! I was going crazy thinking is the mouse… I should have thought is the Ctrl key part that doesn’t.
It was funny to see the comments of people not getting the simple thing of “not working as expected”… always the comments of the type “turn off antialiasing” are amusing

Hey all,
I’ve got the same problem. When I click “Add”, I then put the red cross somewhere, hold Ctrl down, left click creates a first anchor, then I can start drawing a line but no further left click does anything. The red line just sticks to my mouse and never anchors anywhere.
My keyboard mapping is well set to “2024 transversal” and the Ctrl key is well bound to “sparse selection”, yet it doesn’t work for me. Any ideas?
Oh…. It’s not the same problem I had. For me without the Sparse selection command, I was unable to even start a first line, my red cross was not appearing. I never experience your problem. Sorry, can’t help.
