Unable to join Beta SU3 1.5.9.0

MSFS-2024

MS-STORE

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Since installing version 1.4.20.0 on drive C:, I wanted to upgrade to Beta SU3 1.5.9.0. Four attempts always end the same way: it is version 1.2.10.0, and it results in a server issue.

What’s strange is that I was previously using Beta version 1.5.3, but I switched back to version 1.4.20.0 to run some tests without any problems. Trying to switch back to the Beta version is impossible… for now!

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time on sim load, every time I try to install the Beta version

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. In Xbox Insider Hub, select Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Beta, then join.
  2. Once my request has been processed, launch MSFS 2024 either through the MS Store, Xbox, or a shortcut on my desktop (same results)…
  3. The simulator tells me that an update is necessary (loading version…)
  4. Version loaded: 1.2.10.0 !!!

Wait for next build. 1.5.9.0 is not worth it as it breaks some aircraft

Moved to Sim Update 3 Beta | MSFS 2024 > Install, Performance & Graphics since SU3 related.

I would recommend to create a zendesk ticket to get direct support from the technical team: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hello @ChrisSwissMS,

Please note that the process for joining the flighting group for SU3 has changed from previous betas. You can find the new enrollment process instructions in this thread:

Please try following the instructions there by enrolling via the website and then selecting the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – Sim Update 3 group in the Xbox Insider Hub. If that still doesn’t work, please let me know if you require additional assistance.

Thanks,
