Unable to Log In to MSFS2020

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Whenever I try to start up the simulator, I am prompted to log in to xbox live and after entering in my e-mail and password all I got is a black box and the sim doesn’t launch. See screenshot below.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time I’ve tried launching the sim tonight. I did not have this issue when I played earlier today.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Launch Sim

  2. Get prompted to sign in to xbox live.

  3. Enter e-mail and password.

YOUR SETTINGS

No changes have been made to the sim since I played earlier today.

What peripherals are you using: Track IR, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, MFG Crosswind.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12? DX11.

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? GTX 1080

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? Intel I7-9700K processor, 2TB SSD, 32GB RAM.

I’m not sure if this will help at all but, I was getting the same screen. Now, I’m new, and I haven’t played this game or really any other game with the exception of some classic games off of Gog once in a blue moon. Before today I’ve never had to setup an Xbox account or give any permissions for games to access sensitive accounts; it all seems sketchy. I know you said you’ve played before but, I’m thinking you may have to grant permission for the Xbox app to connect to your windows account. I’m not too sure how I did that. I’m on a new PC and had to setup and go through 500 different things including setting up the Nvidia app. I’d look for an option in the Xbox app.
