Description of the issue:
I start the career mode. First flight is alright. Then I pay for the PPL exam and start it. That’s where the issue comes - the instructor starts saying “MISSING_GENERATION: VOMENTORFamiliarizationFlight” and so one. He keeps repeating that and even if I insist on flying, the path is the same as in the first flight of the career. So I have no way to finish the exam.
BTW. I went through several training lessons, so the instructor in the HQ says that I’m way more than ready.
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? I haven’t installed any mods. The game is vanilla.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Always. I tried reinstalling the game, resetting career many times, renaming my account, even renaming my PC user account. None of my names contains any special letters.

Alright, after two more reinstallations, I was been able to progress further. I achieved my PPL and CPL. Then I was able to take on about three missions, where there were some more bugs. Despite the fact that they were supposed to be ferry flights, there was an instructor next to me and after every landing, I was told that I had passed the exam. Also, during the flights I was told to maintain the altitude of 0 m and there were waypoints about 6000 km away from me. After three “successful” missions I tried to take a fourth one. But every time I took a mission, the aircraft fell through the ground texture, the mission was aborted and I lost a whole lot of reputation. I tried to take five more missions, always the same scenario. Has anyone had the same problem?

I’m back where I was. The issue from the beginning started again after a reinstallation. Then two more reinstallations later, nothing has changed. So the problem with “MISSING_GENERATION” is back.
It’s so freaking frustrating.
Exactly! Last time I wanted to have a free flight from Vienna to Keflavik with an Airbus A321, but the game spawned me on the “career” airfield with a Cessna 172 and the game crashed…
I might have found a solution - at least what works for me:
What seems to work for me is repairing and resetting the MSFS through Windows. As soon as there’s a problem with the game, I do the following procedure: Alt + F4 to turn the game off. In Windows 10, go to “Add or remove programs” and after clicking on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, you will be able to see “more options” button. I don’t know what it’s called in English as I use a different language. I click “Repair”, then “Reset”. Then start the MSFS normally and this problem should be solved for a few more flights.
Then I can recommend the following: in your file browser, make sure that your hidden files are visible. Press Win + R, type in “AppData”. Then go to Local/Packages/Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe/SystemAppData/wgs and delete the files that are in the folder called “wgs”. This got me the same results.
I got it fixed. I have Steam version. Here’s how I do it: I go to C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\MISSIONS\Custom\CustomFlight and delete all files. Now it worked. Thank you very much for your help
P.S. This must be done before each task, otherwise the task will be the same as the previous flight.
guys i found a solution in another thread and on reddit which worked for me. i did 3 different missions and every time the selcted aircraft spawned normally and didnt falll of the sky. and the mission underscore problem was gone, too. i did 1 vip and 2 passenger missions without any problems.
if you have a non-acsii character in your Windows 10 account name, like ä, ö, ü, ú etc or some scandinavian letters, then it will not work properly. just change your pc name.
then go to control panel on windows - clock and region - administrative tab - change system regional configuration - check the box for utf8 for language compatibility.
