Unable to toggle cockpit HUD with key

The ‘Toggle Hud View’ does not toggle the Cockpit Hud

Map up a key (as shown) and then try using it to toggle the Hud whilst in the cockpit.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.29.28.0 (but I understand it to be an old, unfixed, problem)

Hi @trgz, came across your topic. Just wanted to clarify if your report was about the internal/external HUD or the 787 HUD ?. It is my understanding that the HUD binding option only applies for the 787 HUD and as of today there is no binding option for the internal/external HUDs available for all the airplane.

@DementedCorn327 I’ve rather forgotten what it was about! It might have been related to the game HUD rather than any specific plane’s instrumentation - for the record, I generally only fly/flew gliders and single/two seater GA. Sorry I can’t be of any more use.

Are you trying to toggle 787 HUD or the internal HUD available for all airplane ?, That toggle binding is only for 787, so does not appear to be a bug if you are looking to toggle the internal HUD that currently does not exist in the mapping.

Ok. So perhaps the bug then is that the binding is incorrectly worded and should be more specific rather than waste the time if everyone else that doesn’t fly a 787

I agree that it would be beneficial to have that binding renamed to avoid confusion. Since it is not a bug but rather an improvement I am moving that report out of the bug section.

There is an existing wish for the external HUD, same should applies for the internal one (not the 787 HUD) that has been added later into the sim.

You only can hide the HUD from the menu. But sometimes in general You want to have it but want to hide it quickly for a nice screenshot.
