Description of the issue:
Since midnight MST Dec 8th 2024, over seven different missions I’ve moved my aircraft to now, and all of them result in an Unexpected Error shortly after takeoff, making it impossible to progress in Career mode.
I’m trying to play the game right now and I can’t. This is completely unacceptable.

I unplugged the Honeycomb and Throttlemaster rudder pedals because I thought they might be the culprit, the Honeycomb in particular, but nope, happened again just now:
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Similar but career mission context was different, same error and same time frame.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Same error message but freight mission, near the end while landing
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Started a new company and bought a 172 cargo. This is my first misison ever in my cargo company mode. I selected a mission and paid the plane transfer fee. On my first attempt at a freelancer mission, I do all that is required and never skip anything. I taxi to the runway and get the same error everytime. Twice it game me the error right after I left the hold short to taxi on to the runway and the third time I was about 300 feetl from the ground right after take off.
This happened 3 times and every time it takes the funds out of my wallet for the plane transfer fee and then it generates this error and I have to start all over again and pay another plane transfer fee. This is getting costly and pointless. And yet, I’m able to do any missions as an employee without any issues.
Really hoping the next update fixes the issue but I’m not playing my career mode anymore. Employee mode is way too grindy and not lucrative enough for me to generate the money to get a Caravan. So I shelved the game for now or at least until this gets fixed so it could be a week of 6 months, who knows. The only reason I got MSFS 2024 was for the career mode and I’ve had many bugs, but this last one is a game breaker.
I did verify the game files integrity in Steam and every single time I exit the simulator there are always 2 files that seem to be corrupt. Once I run it again it downloads those files and then everything is perfect so it’s not a corrupted file issue.
I think what helps the grind is making new companies and buying aircraft for them (with the cheapest insurance), and turn the crew setting on, and I believe once every 24hrs you get passive income.
I didn’t think it worked because it took so long (to me), I thought nothing was happening, but today I signed on and it said my one plane made $33k, so I bought a couple more planes and hopefully tomorrow I’ll log in to that number even higher.
Sorry to hear. That sucks. I finally found what was generating the 309-400-00209 error and no longer have it. I stopped refueling my plane in freelancer mode and never saw the message again. So I tried another mission and I refueled and got the same error message 309-400-00209. So right now I’ll avoid refueling since it enables me to play career mode.
I just got the Unexpected Error Code 308.400.00209 after I started using refueling. When I start a flight in Career mode - Freelance - C172 Light Cargo, I have zero fuel, so I need to add fuel. The only solution I found was to add fuel, using settings…Tools…Simulation Shortcut…Repair and Refuel. In Assistance, I have checked “Unlimited Fuel”, but that is not working for Career Mode. I did not have these issues in Update 1.1.9. Update 1.2.7 is when these issues first appeared for me.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Huge waste of time and no money added. At the very least compensate on crashes. Happened directly on final

The reason I was getting this problem was for using the " refuel and repair". When I stopped using it I was able to fly freelancer missions (until this latest patch). Others use the other key bind which is Add Fuel (25% at a time) and they say it works no problem. I can’t test it out as I uninstalled this buggy mess until the next patch. Couldn’t play anymore as the latency since the last patch makes it impossible to fly the plane even when my FPS is 70. The streaming is just a mess and for a game that relies on streaming, this is insane.

• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• exact same symptoms with the exception of the refueling, I never refueled I don’t even know how to refuel.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• happened 3 times out of my last 5 flights, cargo missions with Cessna 172. First occurrence was roughly midway a 200nm flight, 2nd occurrence was on final after a 100nm flight. Last occurrence won the frustration crown, 2 hours flight went perfectly fine, approach ok, landing ok, taxi to parking ok, switch off the engine ok, “mission successful” appeared for half a second immediately followed by the unexpected error message (nothing was earned despite the brief appearance of the successful message).
Needless to say some gear almost flew through the window…
EDIT:
Just gave it another try, this time I used for the first time the “skip to descent” option so the flight took me just 5 minutes or so and the error happened again on final.
In case it helps:
Error code 308-400-00207
CPU 7800X3D
GPU RTX3080
RAM 32GB 6000 30
Yoke Honeycomb
Throttle Honeycomb
Rudder Logitec Saitek

• Since a few days I only fly medium weight transport missions with my own transport business, using the Caravan airplane
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Particularly often between 00:00-01-00 am at night, but actually at any time of the day. I thought it happens super often after refill mis air via the refill/repair hotkey, but actually happens without it too
