Unexpected Error when opening Xbox's Virtual Keyboard in Career: 310-400-00201

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: When in Career mode and in any aircraft, opening the Xbox’s Virtual Keyboard (When trying to add fuel in the EFB, open a text box, really anytime you open the keyboard up during a flight in Career you’ll immediately receive an Unexpected Error Code: 310-400-00201

Also when returning to the main menu it is glitched as well, need a full reboot to resolve the broken menu. (All pictured below)

(This was on an Xbox Series X, not sure if the Series S has the same problem. No error in Free Flight, works normally.)

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?

Beta Build 5 (1.4.12) is the first time I’ve seen this happen, not sure if it’s when it started or not.

How often does this occur for you? 100% of the time opening up the Virtual Keyboard

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1. Enter any mission and any aircraft in Career Mode
2. Easiest way to test is opening the communication tab, Group, and click “Write Here” after the keyboard opens and you close the keyboard the Unexpected Error will be waiting for you.

I get the same problem too 100% every time, I have found a workaround for the glitched menu, if you go into free flight the enter the airport search it returns to normal

The error appears on PC-12 in career mode (medevac) as well, when trying to interact with the MFD.
Clicking on the navigation display in order to edit the data, the xbox keyboard shows. After the insertion, the error pops out. Also the sim freezes which requires a reload.

This is still happening no matter what mission in career, doesn’t happen in free flight though, I have also noticed that flights in airliners are much smoother in free flight

Yes, happen in any aircraft when the Xbox virtual keyboard is used.

• once error has occurred menus and world are stuck on a ground view like a ‘first person view’ from where the sim crashed.

• had this error in the retail build today, another carry over from the xbox beta that was not addressed much less fixed. efb was non functional, opened but nothing was clickable, closed the small map window, was able to click on hit boxes on the efb, however most of them were not lined up correctly ie the cursor was over the hit box but the hit box was displaced left or right. eventually the sim performance degraded to the point of avionics crashing. lots of stutters, poor resolution and finally after entering the pause menu crashed with this same message. crash was so hard that I had to turn the xbox off to leave the screen

• Yes, I have the same issue.

• XBox Series S, before SUP2 there was no error for me, it comes with SUP2. I’ve never used betas. If I use the plane’s “own” keyboard, there is no problem (but sometimes when I change altitude on EFB, there is the same crash, and there I can use only virtual keyboard).

• I have the exact same issue on the Xbox Series X. It started after this new update.

• when you open the EFB the cruise data is zero with a red triangle. When you type in a value you immediately get an error message.

Even from Settings-Controls page when typing you get the error message.

keyboard. Full ground stop of all flights here because of this

This is really starting to ■■■■ me off, 6 hour flight, on approach clicked something with the mouse that brought the keyboard up, still unexpected error come up, this only happens in career they need to sort this out, they have know about it long enough now!! 6 hours wasted!!

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1.start career flight
2.try adjusting FL in EFB for example
3.interactive keyboard pops up then get an error
4.lose time if it happens near end of flight
5.disconnect Xbox from tv
6.throw it through the window in a rage as flight time is precious anyway just to be wasted with an error they have known about for long enough now!!

Same here if you do any changes to the efb during flight on career it comes up with an error and need to quit the flight. So annoying

That’s it I am done, in the CJ( mid way through flight, clicked on Perf button on the fmc and hey presto the ■■■■■■■ keyboard came up and another error

• there is such a mistake and it is very annoying, any opening of the on-screen keyboard leads to a flight from the mission.
