“Our UNICOM is your en route lounge for all flight conversations, reports and experiences.” What exactly does this mean? Where do I find it? How do I use it? Not very helpful.
While BuffyFoster’s link is correct, in the context of the Microsoft Flight Simulator forums, the #flying:unicom category is a place for you to discuss your flights and flying experences.

Thanks. I guess you mean this forum area and by “discuss” you mean in text rather than voice. I thought that it might be a frequency on com1 or com2 whereby pilots could chat or communnicate with each other via voice.

Thanks buffy. I fly on Vatsim so I am familiar with Unicom generally. It was in the context of msfs2020 that I was asking.

You’re welcome. I think it would be nice if MSFS could let us add pilots right to XBox voice chat, to not clog up the radio channels.
I thought you could do that but I am just beginning to learn xbox, which, for me, is not very intuitive.
Yeah, I just use Steam chat or Discord and only with my friends already. There’s about zero chance I would ever add a random person. 
We have an official Discord server with public voice and text channels which you can use if you want to be able to talk to people without setting up your own system.
