Uninstalling/reinstalling Asobo planes

Is it possible to uninstall/reinstall Asobo planes my Kingair keeps causing CTDs
I thought it was just around KATL but found out it’s everywhere sporadically I’m assuming the file might be corrupt
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes - from content manager, find the plane and uninstall it. Then restart the sim and it should find and download the missing package when it does “checking for updates” on startup. If that doesn’t do it, you should be able to find it in the uninstalled list in the content manager and redownload/install it from there.

Thank you for your reply

i clicked on the kingair in the content manager but it doesn’t give the option to uninstall, Nothing that shows community gives the option to remove.

In profile / content manager select installed at the top and navigate to the Kingair. Click the avatar on the left and a tick will appear … then bottom right you get the choice to delete.

Correct, anything “community” can not be removed from the content manager. These are just manually removed from the " community folder"

You are speaking about the default Kingair, the one included with msfs correct?

If it is an addon aircraft, search for community folder in the forum on how to locate and remove the problem file.

Good point Densest. See below.

That is not necessarily good advice because many mods have files within the sim and must not be deleted but should be uninstalled via the apps menu. I understand you only said ‘removed’ from the folder but this point should be made clear otherwise there’s a real risk of registry errors.

You beat me to it @DensestSnail693, I was just about to post the same screenshot LOL.

@Skycamry360 - note that the other Kingair entries on the list when you search for Kingair (those not shown as by “Textron Aviation”) are various liveries that will be installed. I doubt that you will need to remove these as well as the aircraft itself, but if the uninstall/re-install doesn’t work if you leave them, try uninstalling them as well and see if that helps.

There may also be an issue with the KATL area - do you have any mods etc, such as a custom airport for KATL?

I thought it might be the KATL area also until I was departing KCLT and had a ctd about 10 minutes out.

Looks like the problem might be solved I uninstalled and reinstalled the kingair, so far I’ve taking two flights and no CTD. Fingers crossed.
