Had a unique aircraft sighting yesterday while out back with the dogs. Heard what’s unmistakably some turbines, and looked up to see a mint-looking Beechcraft 2000A Starship fly over. Don’t know if it came out of our local airport (which was likely given the altitude and departure path it was on), but I know there are two stationed in the “Dallas area” which isn’t too far away.
Unfortunately, the owner (who is listed in the FAA N-number lookup page) has blocked FlightAware from tracking it, so I couldn’t tell where it had come from or was going.
I’m also too old/slow to grab my phone and get a picture before it was gone. But it was a gorgeous sight. Not sure which site to believe, but there’s apparently only 6-8 of them still in flying shape and registered.
I remember when they came out how radical they were, but they just never panned out (slow compared to some of the jets that were out, and really pricy compared to other planes in that category).
Regards
