Unreadable flight display numbers

Does anyone else have to keep zooming in and out to check all the tiny numbers on the cockpit displays - Torque numbers, fuel quantity, vertical speed, ect.
If you had to do this in a real aircraft while in the process of landing it would look like you were having a fit or you would end up nutting the glareshield.
There must be a way of seeing these values from the pilots sitting position, it doesn’t help that many of these vital numbers are a dull green on a black background. Not a huge contribution to aviation safety.

Yeah, it is not easy to read the TAS and GS.

I am also struggling with this problem. That’s why I prefer planes with steam gauges.

It is not so bad that the planes are unflyable. But it would be OK.

Yes, I’m finding I’m constantly zooming in and out. Wish we had more aircraft with steam gauges! Was considering getting a bigger screen but not going to bother until they fix things.

We should be able to pop out the displays as separate windows

Oh thank god for that, I’m not the only one finding it difficult to read those indicators without zooming in and out all the time.

Really thought my eyesight was getting bad. Lol

I have the same problem. My monitor was 22", so I purchased a larger 27". It’s a little better, but I still can’t read w/o zooming in. I’m beginning to wonder if I need to shell out some really big bucks and buy a super high end HD monitor. Wonder if that will make a difference? Another problem I have is turning the dials. If your pointer happens to slip off, then you go zooming in. It’s annoying.

Trying to Zoom in and out, and navigate over your zoomed instruments, while still trying to fly, makes it more of a challenge than the real thing.

What would you do in real life if the numbers were too small ? LEAN in to get a closer view, while still retaining spacial awareness …

FINALLY, a another more useful use of your cellphone or Tablet, than watching endless TicToc videos !!

Use it as a VR system – then as you move your head slightly, the screen reacts, and you can look ANYWHERE,

Its a “Game” Change — sorry Its a “SIM” changer !!!

I normally use “toggle instrument view 1” to look at the PFD, hit the same button and go back to my default VFR view, or to “look up” when I break out on final from an IFR approach. I also have a button for “instrument view right” to look at the MFD. obviously glass panels. At least it gives me a larger look at the screen without actually zooming in and out.
Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but it’s an option.
Regards

You can pop the instruments onto another screen by holding right ALT and left clicking on the screen. Then you can drag it onto another screen. I used to use ‘space desk’ to pop it out onto my tablet, until i realised that doing that basically cost me half my frame rate.

Sit closer to your Display

You can with holding alt and clicking the display

The sad thing is that 90% of the aircraft I have in the full version are too tricky to enjoy .
I actually went out and bought a 32 inch curved free sync monitor so I could immerse myself in the illusion of flight. This is great for the 172 with the nice gauges but impossible with the still tiny numbers of the glass cockpit.
