What’s the deal with this grey bar with unwanted and unneeded info that just appeared in the upper left corner of the screen?

You probably enabled Developer mode in Options / General menu.

Thanks but no. I’m familiar with the Developer menu. This is a “gamey” type grey bar with FPS, Game Time and one other nonsense item I don’t recall. At first I thought it was a “Razor” item but it’s not.

It was Razor Cortex which had sneakily installed itself when I updated my Razor Synapse app. Probably wasn’t paying close enough attention. Deleted that bit of silliness and it’s gone…
