Upcoming Forum/Feedback Changes

Hi everyone,

We are 10 days into our public forums and are happy to introduce a few changes coming down the pipeline. First and foremost, our team is hard at work revising and tweaking a better version of our Feedback Snapshots. This will provide a cleaner and more transparent look into the feedback we are receiving from you and where our development team is at in it’s implementation and awareness of those fixes (bugs like live weather, autopilot, etc.). Look out for an updated Feedback Snapshot in the coming weeks in our Development Updates.

This coming Monday, August 31st, new features will be added the forum to help our team gather feedback and to improve QOL for users here. Let’s go over what’s coming:

Upvoting
In the Bugs & Issues category and Wishlist category, you will soon be able to upvote topics. For example, if you are experiencing a similar bug or find a bug important, you will be able to upvote someone else’s post to show agreeance rather than create a duplicate post. This will help us understand the top issues facing the community.

Marking a reply as 'Solved’
Staff will soon be able to mark a reply as a solution if there is a topic that has a clear question and answer. Once the topic is marked, the solution will show on the first post so you will no longer have to scroll to find the answer.

Events
You will now be able to add an event in the Community Fly-in section so your post will show the time and date in the topic header. This will help those who are looking for events to join in.

Maintenance
With those changes in mind, the forums will go down briefly on Monday morning around 9:00am PDT as we implement the new features.

We will continue to look for ways to better your experience here on the forums! Thank you for your continued support.
