Update available for the Carenado PA44 Seminole

Just go to content manager and make sure you download it. If you have issues you might have to manually delete the entire folder for the aircraft and download the whole thing from scratch, but that’s easy enough to do.

Fixed:
Glideslope missing
Other HSI bugs (but it still doesn’t properly track the GPS course when the CDI is set to GPS)
NAV2 OBS is now partially functional, the needles work, and the dial spins, but the on/off and to/from flags are still not working right.

I have submitted a ticket about the outstanding items to the Carenado Zen desk (Carenado Support) and recommend everyone who uses (or may someday use) the Seminole to do the same, so they don’t think they’re finished just yet.

Overall it’s a good patch, just not quite finished yet. If you don’t have this aircraft, I HIGHLY recommend it. Steam gauges, GNS 530 (best used with this mod), normally aspirated piston twin. Only thing it’s missing is deicing equipment, but that’s what the Baron is for, I guess. But that doesn’t have the 6-pack, opting for a G1000 instead. (And they should brighten the blueline color on the ASI, it’s hard to see, but that’s kind of picking at nits.)

Updated. This resulted in completely empty folders and a corrupt download.

@DocNZer, delete the entire directory for the aircraft (in file manager), and then redownload the whole thing from scratch. Unless your internet speeds resemble the days of actual modems, it should take no more than a minute or three, and will solve whatever problem caused that to happen.

Just in case you need it, here’s the path to the directory for the aircraft in Flight Sim, where XXXXXXXXXXXXX is your user name and 123abc456def_789ghi might be any combination of gobbledygook… just scroll down to find the Carenado directory with the PA44 and right click Delete - then reinstall from Content Manager once Flight Sim is open again. (Do your “surgery” to the file directory with Flight Sim closed.)

C:\Users\XXXXXXXXXXXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_123abc456def_789ghi\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

This works for the MS Store installation… can’t speak to a Steam installation.

Happy Landings!

It’s some kind of MSFS bug. You need to give full control permissions for ‘Users’ group to folder ‘carenado-aircraft-pa44-seminole’. Otherwise you will always get error (and missing files) while updating PA44.
