Update Local Legend and Famous Flier Garmin to Working Title Garmin V2

Please update the Garmin GNS 430 & GNS 530 in all Famous Fliers and Local Legends in both 2020 and 2024. The Famous Fliers and Local Legends in msfs-2020 and msfs-2024 are still using the legacy version of the Garmin GNS 430 / GNS 530 and not the updated Working Title versions. The WT versions significantly improved functionality over the previous version and is included on some first party aircraft but not all.

I don’t have much hope. It’s been nearly a year and MS has yet to address any of them. Some of them don’t even work right.

It’s a bit of a shame this needs to be a wishlist item and is not done automatically.

A lot of the people including me who made some of the aircraft on that list no longer work for those devs so if it’s done don’t expect it soon

It is strange, especially if you bought the Aviators Edition. You’re presented with a whole host of aircraft with non functional avionics.
It negates all the great work undertaken by Working Title and calls into question a lot of the basis of bug-fixing going forward.
As we have seen, this sort of stuff takes mere minutes of dev time to get right and yet…

But Asobo has access to those files and although it’s another thing added on things to-do it’s a good upgrade and not a waste of time.

Most of us are not , the ones I’m in touch with anyway.

They can probably figure it out but they didn’t take any notes from any of our work so not sure :joy:

Edit for clarity, I mean the whole team is gone who worked on it - so not sure if anyone took notes whose left :slight_smile:

Put money on what, them fixing the Famous Fliers etc?

If I was a betting man I would. They didn’t even fix the ones that were broken in FS2020. Boeing 307 comes to mind…

Oh, what can I say. Hopefully it wasn’t due to bad business..

I’m sure they can figure it out, it just depends how much they want to invest in it. So far not much. :slight_smile:
