I am getting tired of trying to find a fix to the loop issues when updating my game i have tried everything and i have a good internet connection. i tried these:
- Netlimiter
-Reinstalling
-Empty the cache files
- deleting the update files in my offical map
-i have tried ethernet
- the CMD fix
- restarting the pc
- decompressing the files manually
-Antivirus have i tried disabeling, and let the app trough my firewall
-I saw a fix on youtube about deleting the files in you appdata folder etc. but i dont have those files because i have bought it on steam
- verifying my installation files on steam
-Updating my windows
-updating Microsoft store
I have tried everything but nothing seems to work! and i dont know what to do, i have a really good pc and the game worked perfectly before but now its just messed up! I have seen other people say that Asobo has fixed it but it dosnt seem so.
Any help would be appreciated

Here are a few more:
Ensure all addons are removed from the Community folder, and any 3rd party plug-ins such as Navigraph etc., are uninstalled.
Remove any overclocks you have set up.
If you have used the Google map replacement, uninstall it using it’s uninstaller.
Ensure any third party antivirus programs (Avast, AVG, etc) are uninstalled.
Ensure all Windows updates are installed.
Make sure the time and zone in your PC settings are correct.
Reset the Xbox app.
Reset the MS Store App
Reset Gaming Services
Shut down computer.
Unplug all controllers, except mouse and keyboard.
Restart computer.
Open MSStore, ensure you are signed in, select “Library” icon lower left, and install all updates.
Open and sign into Xbox app.
Reboot computer again.
Try sim.
Plug in controllers.
Disable WindowAutotuning! This is how I solved it and it works for me.
I am also encountering this problem and I think I may know the cause but not the cure. I am using the Steam version of MSFS Premium Deluxe. I get stuck while downloading fs-base-1.222.fspatch. It gets to 100% And then reverts to fs-base-0.1.205.package.001 This keeps repeating over and over.
One thing I have noticed is that the following files in the download are all there in numerical order from fs-base-0.1.206.patch.001through till fs-base-1.222.fspatch except fs-base-1.218.fspatch which seems to be missing from the list. Now I am wondering could this missing file be the reason the whole fs base portion seems to fail? I think It seems like it downloads everything then tries to decompress but when it finds fs-base-1.18.fspatch missing it just goes back to try and download the entire thing again.
I can confirm that as the loop restarts , the last message to show up is definitely “Decompressing fs-base-0.1.206.patch.001” this message comes up very briefly before it reverts to downloading fs-base-0.1.206.patch.001 I am pretty confident the absence of fs-base-1.218.fspatch is the cause of the stall and loop but I don’t know how it can be resolved without access to the missing file. I tried stopping the download and deleting fs-base-1.219.fspatch.001 to try and force it to find a 218 file but no luck there either.
So as I said I am pretty sure the problem is the missing fs-base-1.218.fspatch but I have no idea how to fix it without access to that missing file.

Same problem here. Every update seems to bring more issues. Not happy at all with this.
Try this:
Remove the Official-One Store Folder, and paste it somewhere outside the sim for safe keeping.
Ensure the Community Folder is empty.
Try the sim again.
Can you guys with the same issue confirm that the file “fs-base-1.218.fspatch” is missing from your list as it attempts to update? Also it would be great if we could get confirmation from a successful updater
whether or not “fs-base-1.218.fspatch” was actually present during the update process but this would mean someone actually watching their files download as the downloading compressed files disappear when successfully decompressed.
We Are talking about the Steam version here, The Steam version does not have a “Official-One Store” folder. It has a “Official-Steam” folder and this has already been tried with that folder to no avail.
im not even getting that far, currently have been stuck on 1.206.fspatch.
I suspect you are having the same problem as I described.
Would I be right in assuming that your update keeps reverting to re-downloading fs-base-0.1.206.patch.001? If this is so could you try once more and watch what exact file is actually the last file to download before it loops? Also while it tries to download can you also confirm that the download jumps from fs-base-0.1.217.patch to fs-base-0.1.219.patch.001 ?

i got it past that it seems , it was stuck at around 3.78gb to go , i deleted all the compressed files , restarted FS and it redownloaded all over again until CTD’d i booted up again and now have 1.5gb to go. it sucks but maybe try it
