Heavily modified is an understatement, lol
Iām always at loss for appropriate words when it comes to Draco.
Me too, but certainly glad to hear itās being resurrected!
Man, I love your enthusiasm about this aircraft. Truly the best STOL machine we got! Makes that Kitfox look like a pile of metal scrap.
Can you please provide some insight into water skiing? I understand what it is, but whatās the purpose of doing it?
GotGravel may be asleep due to the time difference heās in, but Iāll try to answer your question as I understand it. If Iām wrong or incomplete, perhaps someone can correct me.
As I understand, water skiing was started by bush pilots by using it to land on a very short sand bar or strip, by water skiing first and then letting the a/c finish the approach on land. Of course, you must have a long enough patch of land to take off again, or have enough speed on takeoff to water ski at the end to get airborne.
From there, it became a sport for adventurers to show off their skills of the a/c and the pilot. Of course it takes a special a/c and good piloting skills to accomplish this. Tricycle a/c need not apply, although I understand it has been done. Needless to say, IRL you take your life in your hands doing this, and is not for the faint of heart.
You mean the tires sank into the dirt a bit?
Apologies for obtuseness, but the Multiplayer model is not a separate GG SCC, but rather the āstandardā GG SCC being used in a Multiplayer environment??

Thatās pretty cool! Thank you for that explanation. May have to try it when the update is done. There is a beach strip in the Classic British Columbia Bush Trip (done by EZRider on Nexus - basically an implementation of the Bush League Legends trip from their website) that comes to mind as being applicable here.
Only a true Marine from back in the day would know that. Not only Marge, but the lady Marines would likely punch your lights out if you called them that to their face, lol. Plus your nickname includes the Marine Corps mascot, so another giveawayā¦USMC '66-75ā¦one tour in 'Namā¦Semper Fi
Only a BAM can call a BAM, a BAMā¦ Dated one for awhile.
Nopeā¦ not a leather neck. Plenty of friends and family though. USAF - '80 to '86.
I spent 7 months in a multi-service platoon at Great Lakes Naval Training Center while attending BEE and ET āAā schools there. Staff Sergeant Bryant, just removed as a DI from Paris Island, was our NCOIC.
My handle arises from a professional nickname on a record of determination, and then it seemed natural to use it during a stint with the Damned Flight Group on Air Warrior II and III. I was CO for two years of the AW III squadron during the Kesmai era (98 to 00).

That explains how you knew about the BAM nickname. Thank you for your service. Started in Aviation Ordnance, re-upped after 3 yrs. to go to ATC school, then got out in '75 to get hired by the FAA. Many memories, good and bad, and look back with fondness on the times I had there. Best of luck to you and to our journeys going forward.
I donāt know if this question should be asked here or if I should create a topic:
How fixed cameras are created for each plane?
I am asking this here because when I compare the āmain gearā fixed camera of the X-Cub and the āmain gearā fixed camera of the Savage, the one on the X-Cub is looking forward while the one on the Savage is looking backward.
Therefore, the camera on the X-Cub is a good help while the one the Savage requires a lot of coordination to be used while flyingā¦
And you for yours! Indeed good memories. No regretsā¦ Best decision of my life to sign up.
I served as a Weather Equip Technicianā¦ 30270. Mustered out as a staff sgt, last duty as a depot team chief working out of a Kelly AFB Tx on weather radars.

Morning guysā¦a few quick ones as I am super tied up with work and all:
@roketJsquerl Thanks for the explanation on Water Skiing. You are absolutely spot on of course.
@PierrePhot68 Camera setup and all is indeed beyond the scope of this forum topic as it is more of a general MSFS question. However you have a point on the XCub, as many people may be flying both so thank you for bringing this up. Iāll look into the possibility of aligning the default camera setup with the XCub (where applicable). In any case there technically is no āmain gearā camera as far as I am aware, these are custom cameras setup for each plane as each has their own needs. In the meantime, check out this link on cameras in MSFSā¦pretty good! https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016003159-Camera-Overview
@ThreeGuide4354 I just send you a PM.

Just a teaserā¦managed to resize the 3D model of the humongous 82" Whirlwind GA-200L-STOL prop to an actual 82". Looks massive, shouts power. Coming in v1.1.1.

Water Skiing, widened wheelbase, awesome suspension, higher cruise speed and more.
Christmas comes twice this year!
I leave that to Marge.
Had a couple of low level stalls from about 20ā where I have come in Flaperons 3 & the left wing has dropped, when, I suspect, the speed has got too low.
