Hi. MSFS2020 and 2024 both have an insanely old DLSS version (2.4) while the current version is now 3.8.
Could you please update this regularly? The difference is quite significnat.

I don’t understand why they are still using 2.4 as DLSS version which is too old. If we don’t manually swap versions the performance difference is quite big.
Nobody has ever provided a proof of that.
I tried personally and I see no difference with the new DLL. I use DLSS Quality.
I know, but it’s annoying to always have to do this manually. The developer should be responsible for periodically updating it.
And I for example see a significant difference in the Glass cockpit display blurriness (much better with later versions).
No argument from me on that point.
Hey everyone !
We all seen all over the place that the DLSS 5 is a huge improvement of quality to the games released on PC, MSFS included !
Now that the DLSS 5 will be officially released by NVIDIA on September 3rd/4th (depending of your location), it would be nice to have a word from Asobo to know if they plan to have it officially supported in the simulator !
Thank you for your votes so it can appear on their Feedback Snapshot
!
@SmotheryVase665 Hey I see that you merged my post with this one, however I don’t understand why, mine was to ask info about DLSS 5 and make it voted so it appeared in the Feedback Snapshot, and I don’t think merging it with a post created in November 2024 in the deep part of this forum will help the upvotes and make it appear in the Feedback Snapshots
Especially that the title of this post doesn’t ask specifically for a DLSS 5 implementation and when does they plan to implement it
Moving my post with a 2024 one doesn’t give it a single chance to make it appear in the Feedback Snapshot unfortunately..
Thanks !
Hi @TheoBarriet
This topic covers all versions of DLSS, much as this wish covers all versions of FSR. Since versions of DLSS (& FSR) frequently change, one topic is better than a topic for each separate version as the votes are thus consolidated. Since old versions of DLSS are unlikely to be added as a “new” feature, votes for “older” versions mentioned in this topic effectively become votes for the latest version - as of now, DLSS 5.
Merging your post into this topic immediately gives it 36 votes. Whenever a new post is added to a wishlist topic, it moves that topic to the top of the “latest” list and makes it more visible, so potentially getting even more votes if users read the topic and choose to add their vote.
The date of the original post in a topic is not a consideration for inclusion in the Wishlist. For example, the #1 item on the list (Request for the Unencryption and Full Downloadability of Default Aircraft in MSFS 2024) also has a date of November 2024.
The last item (#24) on the current 2020/2024 Wishlist (from the April 15th Developer Livestream) has 718 votes, so any wish topic needs at least this number to get on the published list, though it should be noted that votes are not the only criteria that determine what feature(s) may be included in a future update to MSFS.
Generally, the developers do not comment or provide information on when new features will be included in MSFS until the feature is included in a SU, CU or WU, when it is included in the release notes; or if a new feature is announced by Jorg, Seb or Martial during a Developer Livestream or public presentation.
Hmph. Such a sanitised means of communication. It renders everything so utterly unengaging.
