Update to 1.36.2.0?

I run MSFS on two PCs. Yesterday I joined the SU 15 Beta on “PC1”, tested performance in comparison with 1.36.2.0 and then exited.

Went to the other PC, “PC2” and there was an update to 1.36.2.0 which included the new A320 ! Checked on XBox Insider Hub on PC2 and it showed I was not in the SU15 Beta.

Cam back to PC1, exited the Beta and then the update to 1.36.2.0 also loaded and includes the new A320. However on PC1 it can’t load and the same happens with the A310 while other aircraft load fine.

I have not seen any posts about an update to 1.36.2.0 - am I the only one ?

Current SU15 beta is 1.37.17.0

Thanks, yes I am aware of that - I was asking if anyone else had an update to the current version 1.36.2.0 - that’s where I got the new A320 - I am not on the SU 15 Beta.

Just jumping in with my observations: I just ran 1.36.2.0 and it started without any updates. Same was true when I ran it yesterday. HTH

Thank you - so you do not have the new A320 in 1.36.2.0 ? I wonder what happened with mine and it shows it … Maybe the temporary entry into the SU15 Beta caused all this mess.

Yes, you are correct. I just have the older version, not the new one.

Yes. Exiting out of the beta does not delete packages. It only reverts updated packages. And even that is finnicky. It’s not a mess, you just have an extra package that didn’t get deleted.

Thank you - I had not realized this is the way it works - what is your opinion should I do anything to get back to the “normal” 1.36.2.0 or just wait until SU15 comes out and then I will be aligned with the norm ?

You can open your Official\OneStore folder (the one where all the packages are stored), sort packages on date and delete all packages with a modified date or newer when you entered the beta. Removing all those packages will prompt a re-download of those packages next time you start the sim. After that, all should be normal again.

In my example below I would need to delete the top 5 folders and then start the sim.

SU15 beta probably updated a lot more packages, but the principle stays the same.

That’s by far the safest option  And the most easy one.
