Brief description of the issue:
After reinstalling Gaming Services several times, Flight Simulator finally started to update from Microsoft Store. After downloading a 580MB+ download, I tried to run Flight Simulator and am getting an error that Windows cannot find Flight Simulator.exe. I tried to find the file and am not able to access the WindowsApps folder even with Administrator privileges.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
Attempting to update to SU7.

The update likely wiped your install (as it did mine). You’ll need to reinstall now.

Same problem today.
I don’t believe the installation was wiped out by any update.
Here is what I did:
Go to Win 10 Settings
Go to Apps
Select MSFS 2020
Select Advanced Options
Select ‘Repair’ AND ‘Reset’ both one after the other.

After that Start the game from X-Box app. You will be prompted to install BUT once you select your previously installed game directory, it will recognize it and no reinstall is required.

The game will start as it did for me.

Hope this helps. Happy flying!!
