New update today so i clicked update, and it started downloading 160g or whatever the entire game is, so i clicked cancel until i work out why its re downloading the entire game. Apon clicking cancel, it just completely wiped my game and all files. Are you actually kidding me? So I now i not only need to download the entire game again, but I also need to re install ALL of my addons, and reconfigure all of my peripherals etc??? Absolutely furious. Most normal programs would have some kind of “are you sure? this will delete EVERYTHING” but noooooooo, not Asobo. wtf man.
Are you sure it’s all gone? I had a similar issue, which I think is because they’re trying to move the app part of the install to c:\XboxGames. It did say 150GB or something, but as only the app part of the install had gone, I ran the install of a few GB, then when it got to the sim’s update screen I pointed it to my old installation, which it had a look at for a few seconds and then reported a much small download size, which took 5 minutes, and everything is working as expected.
Sorry, not sure of the actual sizes here, this is just a rough impression.
