ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: After the SU1 Update the Cessna 404 has improved graphically. No more LOD issues or parts disappearing with zoom, etc. However, new bugs have appeared that I have found, I will update if I find more, but these are the immediately obvious ones.
As of the 21st May 2025, these have not been fixed with the new SU2 Update either.
The cockpit side door observation windows do not make the clunk/creaky hinge/opening noise when opened or closed. Both left and right side.
Neither does the side door lock/unlock lever.
The engine oil dip-stick check doors left and right are silent as well, which is a shame as the other internal doors, baggage compartments and latches are well and convincingly sounded.
Secondly, the nose and main landing gear have texture problems. When the aircraft loads the wheel gear looks normal. However if you taxi or move the aircraft even a little amount the texture appears to roll off the undercarriage and move and flicker about. This texture problem was not there pre-update. Overall the aircraft seems much improved graphically, it’s just these new jarring issues.
If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Cessna 404 Titan
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes, the simulator is vanilla and freshly installed, problem remains.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time the aircraft is flown.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
1.Load the simulator as normal
2.Select any of the Cessna 404 Titan models or liveries, load up
3.Operate the small side windows, the side door lock lever, the external engine oil check doors, or taxi the aircraft and observe the texture movement

MEDIA
Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
The cockpit side doors that have no sound. The outside sounds increase in volume correctly when they are opened, however.
The side door lock lever that has no sound.
The engine oil doors that have no sound.
The texture problem that when the aircraft first loads is not there.
Taxi the aircraft just a little and the bug occurs, this happens whether taking off or landing or any time the wheels turn.
Also visible on the main undercarriage on closer inspection. Note the brake caliper type part?
The texture problem disappears on the undercarriage if you are far away or zoom out far away.
Update 8th March 2025 - After more flying and testing I have found some further issues to update this topic.
The ELT switch makes no sounds.
The upper cockpit lighting controls - the front two control wheels turn and make noises when you do so, the rearmost control wheel is not animated and does not make a sound.
None of the individual light buttons in the passenger cabin by each seat have switch sounds either. Nor do the red buttons animate and ‘push in’ to the panel, like they look as they should do.
They do function and turn on the lights, however, which is nice.
The propellers lose their shadows/textures change colour when you move away from the aircraft. About the same distance as the bugged undercarriage textures ‘fixing’ themselves when zoomed away, as noted in my original post. Note the darker grey shaded, bottom right propeller blade change.
Closer
Farther
Also as reported by many others pre- and post-SU1, the Garmin GPS screens are far too bright at night or in low light flying, and I cannot change the brightness with any of the controls, unless i’m missing something, i’ll gladly be corrected.
Under the main panel by the gear and trim, the red emergency undercarriage extension handle and clear pane guard do not work or move - either not modeled or a bug, i’m not sure? The GEAR HYD circuit breaker one should pull, detailed in the placard above, does move on the aircraft…
I couldn’t capture the screenshot at precisely the right time but the secondary main exit door in the cabin, opened here?
When it opens, the horizontal handle bar at the lower centre, and the diagonal object at the upper centre of this view clip through the fuselage, the lower handle does not animate when the door opens, unlike the handles on the main two-part exit door to the left.
Not sure this is a bug, but for completeness (or if it is actually meant to work), the ventilation window latch doesn’t operate or open - it’s also labeled as an emergency exit so I would understand if the developer (Carenado?) didn’t necessarily model this. This is on the medevac and the passenger model.
Speaking of the medevac/air ambulance version, those in the cabin appear to be very uncomfortable at the knees.
(i promise I’m not obsessed with doors or switch noises, just reporting what mild immersion-breakers I find on my flight turn-arounds. I greatly enjoyed this aircraft from Alabeo in my FSX days… )
Update 21st May 2025 - After the new SU2 Update which noted many fixes and new SFX for the Titan, the above bugs and omissions are still present. Additionally, I have found these new items.
In the preflight inspection stage, moving the elevators does not produce any ‘clunk’ noises. Moving the rudder and ailerons however, does.
The baggage doors at the nose open with their satisfying ‘clunks’, but when you close them or move away far enough for them to automatically shut, no sounds.
I’m hopeful that all the above may be resolved in the Titan soon, considering the developers’ attention to so many small sounds and switches and details it’s a shame some others modelled didn’t get that treatment.
