(Updated 25th June 2025) All iniBuilds Airbus models - incorrect heat blur exhaust effect behaviour

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: All the iniBuilds Airbus aircraft in MSFS 2024 have an issue where if you start one engine, the other engine(s) will already produce the ‘heat blur’ exhaust effect, even if the other engine(s) have not been started yet.
This happens with all their models - A310, A320neo, A321neo, A330, Beluga XL, A400M. The A310, FWIW, did not have this issue in MSFS 2020.

The A400M also does not have effects for the APU exhaust heat on the upper fuselage, whereas the other models do. The No.2 engine appears not to have any heat effects tied to it at all, whether running or not.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
iniBuilds Airbus A310, A320neo, A321neo, A330s, A330 Beluga XL, A400M

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Did not remove community add-ons. I have no add-ons associated with any of these aircraft (eg, liveries)

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time the aircraft are flown.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start sim, load any of the iniBuilds Airbus aircraft
  2. Start just one of the engines on any of the aircraft
  3. Observe duplicated heat blur effects on other not-started engines

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:
TCA throttle 1-4 and sidestick, Tobii Eye Tracker 5, generic mouse/keyboard

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
Not using developer mode.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?
DX12.

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
Intel i9-13900K, Corsair 64GB DDR4, ASRock Z790 PG Lightning D4

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
Airbus A330-300 Rolls-Royce Trent 700 here - left engine started and normal

Compare that to the right engine, it’s not started but still making exhaust heat.

A330-200 with General Electric CF6 here - same problem.

A330 Beluga XL - same problem.

Despite the other Airbuses having APU heat exhaust, the Airbus A400M does not. This is with it running.

A400M - same behaviour, with one engine started alone.
Note the No.2 engine does not have heat blur effects like the others.

If you start the No.2 engine, it doesn’t actually have any heat blur effect, when it should do.

Airbus A321neo - same problem. One started, both giving off heat.

A320neo - same problem.

Finally, the A310. Same problem.

Update 25th June 2025

Just to re-iterate after my first report of this problem the issue still exists in the simulator today.
An example screenshot of SU2 MSFS 2024 here with the A330-300, release build, not beta.

I hope this can be resolved soon, considering other MSFS aircraft get these visual effects right, and iniBuilds’ texturing and details on these Airbuses is a shame to let down.

Thanks
