Well, that took forever… finally got the update out…
Boire Field, Nashua is located in beautiful Southern New Hampshire, and Asobo definitely got the feel of the area right. It’s a wonderful place to fly, located just south of Mt. Monadnock, centrally located between Cape Cod and the islands and the lakes regions of New Hampshire and Maine, so there’s lots of interesting places to fly and plenty of hamburgers and ice cream to be eaten at a wide variety of airports all around.
I learned to fly here in the mid '90’s, back when it used to be one of the busiest small airports in the Northeast, if not the country. At the time Daniel Webster College ran a flight school out of Nashua, which was great for learning how to fly in high traffic airports.
I thought I was going to do just one more thing, but, as I looked deeper, turned out it needed a redo of a lot of features… The Bing map was updated and shifted a couple of meters from before, so I ended up having to shift the airport a bit to sit properly. Redid all aprons and taxi paths (again), replaced a few buildings, resized the tie down cross to proper size, redid fencing using vector placement and used proper fence styles, plus added doors for it (sadly not working). Redid all the taxi lighting a while back, added more telephone poles and lighting. Added lots more detail and many other things.
Next I hope to find somebody to redo some hangars, especially the original brick hangar.
