Updated to SU5 & huge library problem!

I updated MSFS to SU5 which went OK UNTIL I went into library to install the updates. I selected some items which I wished to update. They semed to install OK. I started selecting some others but unfortunately my Sim froze & so I ended program & restarted PC & Sim. Sadly though, it now seems to want to reinstall 150Gb+ & that’s just in the base folder including the files I updated before the crash. My internet Connection is slow, (40Mbps) & this looks like it gonna take ages. Does anyone know how I may restore my library without having to download everything? Also many items currently downloading could be streamed but I can’t cancel the downloading as it pauses the downloads instead of cancelling!

Yes I am fighting with this since yesterday too. I have everythin locally installed and it wanted to update everything, over a TB of data, 993 items. This would be okay but I am getting constantly stuck at “Installing Items.” 99%. I let it run for several hours, it was completely stuck. I then had to kill the process and repeat. Some items were installed but some still left.

As of now I finally managed to have the Base Pack as installed but I am missing still many world updates. I am stuck again now and have to kill it again, hopefully it will have installed more.

This is very frustrating, worst update I ever had.

Interesting. I have a back up of MSFS24 taken prior to SU5 update but I am loathe to use it as it may screw things up further…. I’m at a bit of a loss here. Also many items currently downloading could be streamed but I can’t cancel the downloading as it pauses the downloads instead of cancelling!

I had a similar problem when I tried to update after installing SU5, an hour or two after it was released. In the end I shut it down and came back to it when the USA was asleep and the download was much faster. Too many users on the servers for what is a relatively big update.

I was a bit surprised, though, at the size - 154GB for me! But it all seems to work fine now so I’ll get on with some testing.
