Use mobile / tablet devices to display / edit in-game flight tools

Hello there MFS 2020 Team!

I would love to see a mobile app that allowed users to connect their mobile and table devices to Flight Simulator in order to use the UI tools provided.

For example, if I wanted to change my flight plan or check my GPS location, I can access it via my phone, instead of the in game UI (which takes you out of the immersion of flying!)

Basically, allow users to view all the UI on a mobile device whilst Flying, including ATC communication!

This would allow users to be fully immersed in the experience.

Thank you for considering!

Hey @WingItMan4875, and welcome to the forums!

Suggest you use the #self-service:wishlist subcategory to let the dev team know what features you want to be added or improved. Start by searching the category to see if someone has started a topic about your idea. If they have, open their topic and click the vote button to show your support for their idea. If your idea is brand new, then create a topic explaining the feature, include the what and why.

You can view the most wished-for ideas here.

Heya @Sartanius!

Thanks for the correction on category, I didn’t see it originally.
I’ve set it accordingly.

I’m doing a very long-haul VFR flight in a Savage Carbon, and rather flip out to the external view to confirm my course, or continually squinting at the cockpit compass, I’ve just added a compass ‘widget’ to the free version of SimDashboard for Android. I also added an attitude widget, given that the Savage doesn’t come with one. It appears that 3 ‘widgets’ are free but payment is required for more - the categories are a bit ‘all-over-the-shop’ so I’m not certain what it’s limited to.
I’d be tempted to say that this might be an area where Asobo/MS leave the work to 3rd parties (?).
