As the post title indicates I start flying with Avionics working but when I touch any switch on my panel it turns off the avionics. This happens in every aircraft. i.e. lowering gear will turnoff avionics, turning on landing lights will turn off avionics. This does not happen spasmodically only when I use any switch function. Have latest driver from Logitech. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Sounds like an incorrect binding somewhere. If you go to the assignments and change the filter to all, then search for something like “avionics master switch” it should show you if it’s been inadvertently assigned.
Thanks mate. I’ll check that out
Search for a app in Saitek/Logitech who can test the panels, so you can see if is working properly.
In my case, like you, my switch panel work erratically and change things without order.
Finally, I open the switch box and, with a contact cleaner, clean inside de on/off buttons, and then I was able to fix it.
Hope this help.
I will try that too as nothing apart from the mouse is bound to the avionics master. Thanks
Another thing to check (I know this through experience) is the position of the switches. For example when starting a bush trip, the aircraft starts on the runway running. If the Switch Panel has the switches in the off position, it becomes out of sync. Then when you go to lift the gear, the Logitech Panel updates all of the settings and turns off the avionics (probably also the lights, etc).
I try to remember to put the logitech in the mode that the plane is in (master/avionics switches, lights, etc). Then I click a swich like fuel pump on/off or something at which point I know everything is in sync.
I have used the testing app and the avionics works fine. The problem also does not occur in X-Plane so the panel must be fine. Therefore it has to be something not working between the Logitech MSFS2020 drivers and the MSFS2020 program itself. I will keep trying KenZ8143 suggestion and see how it goes. Thanks.
I have a logitech Switch Panel as well. If I raise or lower the landing gear using the rocker on the panel, it shuts the generator off. It does this for SOME of the planes - ATR and TBM specifically. As others have mentioned in other posts, there are no adjustments or bindings available to change this.
My solution was to ensure that before spawning on runway with engines etc going I must have all relevant switches to the “on” position. Conversly if starting “cold” at parking I ensure that all relevant switxhes are in the “off” position. As advised by KenZ8143 above doing the opposite tends to confuse the panels.
Something similar happens to me with the switch panel. In my case, in the TBM the battery switch does not work even if I press it on my panel, however in other Asobo planes it does turn on when pressed, with which I rule out a panel hardware problem.
And when the alternator in the TBM is pressed, it turns on but pressing any other switch on the panel acts on the alternator, changing its position or placing it in standby or off, when a little time passes it changes its position only randomly and intermittently, until it blocks and stops working switch panel. Only at the end of the flight and restarting another flight does the switch panel work again, all this since the last updates, before it worked perfectly, and with other planes it continues to work perfectly.
This problem happens to me with some planes like the TBM, Citation longitude, Citation CJ4 and surely in some other planes although I haven’t tested them yet.
