Five or so weeks post release, I’m generally happy with MSFS2024’s performance on my i5-9600/32GB/RTX3060Ti rig.
I generally fly IFR plans under 500 NM in the Daher. My main gripe at this point was the flight planning process, and general ATC.
But today I used the online planner in the flightsimulator.com site as opposed to the in app one, and it’s a game changer. More detailed plans, better route creation, better/more relevant ATC.
Just make sure it’s properly loaded into the avionics once in the sim.
In what way is ATC different?
I’ve been using the web-based official flight planner and SkyVector for planning my Career Mode flights. Both of those have route creation. I don’t think I’ve seen the EFB actually find a route.
The EFB is mostly useless on Xbox as you can’t use the search feature because of a bug or potentially a design flaw.
In the last dev stream, the developer of the web-based planner mentioned that flight following will eventually come to the planner. I hope that holds true for Xbox as well.
