[V2 RELEASED] Kennedy Space Center VAB area detailed scenery, including launch complex 39A (SpaceX) and 39B (NASA Artemis/SLS)

[EDIT] I see what you meant, in the STORE - as in the Marketplace image. Yes. The MP data has not been updated to V2, but the actual pack is indeed V2.

Thanks, yes - because it is version 1, which had that defect. However, for some reason, the rockets are launchable and I am trying to understand why. It is as if MS mixed some components from V2 into V1 and released it.

I really hope V2 is released on 2024 very soon so all this is resolved

This update is brilliant (I am running in FS2020). The looks and sound of the launches and the updated crawler animations are really good, the icing on the cake to an already good add-on scenery.

Glad to hear it @MucusTech ! Just for fun, try to find some alligators, or some personnel that didn’t heed “all clear for launch” alarm, and decided to linger around the pad with their Bose noise cancellation headgear

But it is version 2 that have released in msfs2024 I can launch rockets and the control center is v2.0

The marketplace data is wrong in 2024. Title background image should be a launch of the space shuttle, but instead, it is the old one, image of a VAB at sunset. Also, the writeup has been updated to mention V2 and rocket launch capability, but in 2024, the writeup is old.

@ForzaSportX , can you (or anyone) check if the VAB flag is oriented properly? The star field should be towards the edge of the VAB.

If it is, that means MS did NOT update MP data. Everything else is indeed V2.

Seems to hang the right way? MSFS2024 screenshot.

Yes, it is. Thank you. If this was V1, the flag would be flipped horizontally. Ok, so, the 2024 package is indeed V2, but for some reason, MS did NOT update marketplace data :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Wich simvars is used for sound in the scenery?

Actually, we use LVARS that we trigger from the controller WASM module to activate sounds.

I’m still experiencing sink spots in the road the crawler follows between the VAB and where the smaller road intersects past the gate.

The only workaround I’ve found so far is to restart the flight and zoom in on the world map until the crawler is at that intersection just before where the vehicles are.

Or go fly somewhere else for awhile and come back to KSC. The crawler still moves even if flying in another location which is kinda nice.

Edit: The rockets do spawn from both garages at the VAB.

I know when it spawned from that garage it didn’t sink. Trying again.

As I suspected when spawning from the other garage there are no issues.

Still loving this addon and this is the only bug I have discovered. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the update. We are not noticing the “holes”, but we ARE noticing the small houses around the north-east corner of VAB, which should not be there (we have “Exclude” polygons for the whole area). So, MSFS2024 porting process is not perfect, obviously. For the crawlerway, we also have a “flatten” polygon just for the purpose of getting rid of any bumps, but it may be that that polygon is not kicking in, or, kicking in late, after the objects spawn. In any case… the objects should not have such radical pitches as shown in your screenshots.

Yeah it’s a wierd bug and only happens when leaving the garage on the left side. I know it will get fixed either by you or Asobo. Just wanted to point it out. Thanks for the reply.

I spawned and re-spawned 20x and not one single issue. Always as flat as a pancake… so… not sure what to say.

Do you have any add-ons around there that may interfere and impose their own topography?

It never sinks when spawned. It sinks when it starts traveling… before it reaches the gate.

If you can get past the gate, I will start checking to see if there is anything on my side causing the issue :slightly_smiling_face:

Aha, ok, let me test. Currently having fun with something else

Thanks a bunch :slightly_smiling_face: I appreciate your help.

Shuttle looks nice. Stop teasing…lol

It’s Capt. Sim’s. But we have it under full physics orbital control :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Yes I knew it was his. Nice to see it coming along.

BTW, I removed everything from my community folder and the crawler still sinks. Even starting from the other garage it sank…first time I’ve noticed that.

Please let me know if you can replicate the issue when you have the time. If you can get past the gate I’ll start checking my addons in the library. Thanks again.

Now we just need splashdown recovery operations

Past the gate from HB1, no issues on my side with Apollo, Shuttle, or Artemis.

BTW there ARE slight bumps about halfway from the starting point to the gate, but nothing like in your screenshots. The bottom of the rear right track basically disappears into gravel, that’s it.

I am noticing a few other problems (and some users reporting them on other forums)… For example, there is no “gravel crunching” sound around the crawler, only the engine drone. In 2020, there is a very satisfying gravel crunching sound when you get close to the crawler in motion.
