Fixed Launch Platform and various launch infrastructure at Vandenberg AFB, Space Launch Complex 6 (California). This is obviously not part of the Kennedy Space Center - it will be offered as a separate scenery package, supporting SpacePort. That’s Captain Sim’s Shuttle, mated to our SRBs and ET.
Ladies and gents… Introducing TerraBuilder SpacePort ![]()
You are looking at Captain Sim’s Space shuttle, docked to a space station consisting of 16 modular objects, dynamically spawned at Mach 27, and hard-connected into a rigid unit, using our spaceflight physics engine.
We are polishing up assets, and we will make a formal announcement soon - but for now, enjoy this sneak peek!
Awesome, cant wait.
Just a quick update on the on-going sound bug for MSFS2024 on MS/Asobo side, we checked with Asobo on the status, and they informed us that they are still trying to figure out how to deal with it. It obviously didn’t make it to SU4, but for SU5, they are considering rolling back sound optimizations (which caused the bug in the first place), so let’s hope that SU5 will bring a resolution to this matter.

Who wants to go for a MSFS202x spacewalk? ![]()
We are adding new content and functionality - this is a part of a new airlock module, with an EVA “porch”.
Another update on the MSFS2024 Sound Bug: While there is still no news from the MS/Asobo side, we seem to have found a way to “force” the sound to be audible, and we think we are on the right track to fix this on our side. We are in the process of verifying our find, pls stand by.
Excuse me for this question. Will it be possible to start with the Captain Sim Space Shuttle from the Launch Platform …then dock on the Space Port or Space station… then dock Off and glide down to earth and land on the specific Space Shuttle runways…
If you are asking about SpacePort, Captain Sim’s Space Shuttle is only used for testing and demo purposes for now. It will not be a part of SpacePort. But yes, one way or another, there will be STS available in SpacePort, and yes, it will do a full cycle - from launch, to orbital operations (including docking to space station(s)), de-orbiting, re-entry and landing.
If you are asking about KSC Scenery - no. It is only a dynamic scenery, designed to offer users a possibility of viewing space launches from Kennedy Space Center.
So there will be a dynamic working “Launch Platform” included in the Spaceport Addon? Or will your Kennedy scenery be updated?
SpacePort will NOT contain KSC Scenery within itself. For SpacePort, There will be basic immediate launch infrastructure with movable animated parts (just like KSC Scenery, SAME assets). This will be for customers who don’t care about the whole KSC Scenery.
If you own KSC Scenery and purchased SpacePort, It will work just like before, except it won’t spawn all the immediate infrastructure that SpacePort is spawning already.
And of course, if you bought SpacePort and liked it, and wanted to accompany it with more scenery, you can also purchase KSC Scenery.
From today’s SU5 beta change log… Is this the fix y’all need? (Not running the beta this time around so can’t check.)
Hello,
Yes - I’ve been informed by MS that this fix (sound cutting out for non-aircraft SimObjects) is now in SU5 Beta.
Also - I’ve been informed about a month ago that the VFX issue (the launch plume trail cutting out at ~200m altitude) has also been addressed.
However, since we are not running Beta on any of our dev machines, We would kindly like to ask @everyone who runs MSFS2024 SU5 Beta to let us know if either or both of these defects have now been addressed.
Thanks!
We need full orbital mechnics and a SpaceX Dragon docking simulator
.
Hi everyone!
Just a quick work in progress screenshot of the VAB interior, which will be included in V3 update!
