Try once in MSFS Settings > General > Flight Model > to switch from classic to modern.
The yoke / joystick should then work properly with the standard settings.

Mate you are a bloody legend this has worked a treat and I can taxi and fly the islander. Something so simple and in my face it really p#$$es off I was about to ditch it. Many thanks good sir.

Did the BN-2 Islander get removed from MSFS ingame Store?
I bought it in Ingame shop and usally it was shown in Profil->Packages as at installed or not installed.
I didnt install it because, this plane is causing CTDĀ“s just like the CRJ right now.

But even i didnt install it because of this CTDs, i was shown as bought, but right now its missing?
Is this larger Problem to contact Steam and MSFS Zendesk?

The Plane not showing in Plane was a connection Issue with Microsoft Server. Logging off and new in fixed this Problem for me.
CTD with the plane from Ingame Store are conncted to progamming Issue from Asobo.
Thanks to NightMercury i could test the Webversion of this Plane and it is working great!
The BN2 Islander is causing CTDs, when I try to do in-game update for other purchases from the marketplace. Have version 1.1.2 directly from BlackBox Simulations.
(OT: the CRJ does not cause any CTD, nevertheless it goes into an endless loop when trying to update, it needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled with every update)
With the greatest of respect to all users with these issues ā¦ but the BN2 is NOT Causing CTDās
ASOBO MSFS is causing the CTDās as we can prove without doubt as our Web based installers do not have any issues ā¦
we are working with Marketplace team to try and find out what the interaction is and hope they will find a fix as soon as possible
Meanwhile Any genuine customer with CTD Issues can contact me via PM for a temporary solution

Also with the greatest of respect, if the Islander is in my community folder, I have CTDs when updating from the marketplace. If itās not in the community folder, everything is fine.
Please donāt loose yourself in semantics, when users experience exactly this.
And, whoever comes up with a solution first make everyone happy.
The Islander is still a great aircraft and a lot of fun.
Sirā¦ if this is the case then why do our Web based installers ( Installing To the community folder) Not have this problem ?
They use 100 % exact same files as the Marketplace editionā¦ The Only difference being the addition of ASOBO/Marketplace DRM ?
I say again ā¦ the Islander is not directly to blame and we will continue to discuss this issue with the Marketplace team ā¦

I wonder how many other mysterious CTDs that some people have and complain in the forum are caused by Microsoft DRM for the various Payware they sell in Marketplace.
I never have CTDs but I also donāt have any Payware from Marketplace installed other than that thing with the runway textures.
Letās just hope they solve this and also find a way that it doesnāt happen in the future again with other products.

Great news on the sounds.
Repaint request for the artists out there. I have created an Air Atlantique pilot for myself in NeoFly. They had numerous Islanders in several liveries. Anyone willing to take on a few of them?
Just done a 3 hour trip from Stornoway to Manchester and the Islander is ridiculously good to fly. The time just flew away and muggins ended up getting the gamma rays. Again.
With the daily trauma that I have seen on this thread, I can only thank God or whoever, that I am not a software developer. Thank you Graham.

since Sunday Iāve only been traveling with the Islander. This is really a super plane from Black Box Simulation. Itās great fun, I get on really well with it, and I love this plane. It offers great flight comfort and operating the plane with the autopilot is great. BBS thank you very much for the great addon. I am glad that I have it back in my hangar.
