Hey guys, can I ask for a little help?
I was using Pico 4, SteamVR and OpenVR in OBS, and recording was fine.
Now I switched to VDXR, which is better, but I can’t record anymore…
I installed Jabbah OpenXR-Layer-OBSMirror, and I get the option in OBS as a source, but the screen just stays black, not showing the VR image from the Pico 4.
What am I doing wrong?
(Tried to search for a solution here, didn’t find any post.)
The most common issue people have when installing OpenXR-OBSMirror is their system does not allow Powershell scripts, which is what you use to install OpenXR-OBSMirror.
So I recommend you look into that. The Powershell script only creates a single registry key, you could also just do it manually.
Thank you!
I thought it was enough to copy everything in the right places and add the registry key manually, but it wasn’t… after setting the right Powershell permission, it works like a charm.

I just can’t get a picture when I set it to VDXR.
I have done everything requested in the github.
Permissions for the files given as requested… Ran Powershell… even checked permissions to make sure everything is correct… but somewhere I must be making a mistake… I get all the presets etc in OBS for OpenXr-OBSMirror but I just can’t get an image.
I also have a Pico 4
However, it’s not about the FS, I have to admit… I wanted to record something in dirt rally 2.0.
SteamVR works as usual with the OBS VR plugin
fixed! I guess I just had to auto scale to get the image framed
