Velocity flightstick buttons - flaps and brakes

I have velocity one flightstick. My flaps are assigned to the 4 button keypad on xbox controller which works fine. I have gone into settings - it says decrease and increase flaps are joystick button 24 and 25 from screen pic. What are these on the flightstick ?

Also - I want to assign the right hand lever on the flightstick to brakes - currently its on joystick button 1 and 4 - how do I do this ?

There is a picture of my flightstick which is in the attachment - but its very difficult to read what the numbers are - to tell me which button does what function etc

I dont know how to assign flaps to flightstick and to change toggle brakes to right hand lever

Thanks

Thanks for the link - don’t think my product is listed - as you can see from the picture above - my velocityone flightstick has 4 buttons to the left and right on the main base square - stick in the middle - and 2 levers - one to the left and one to the right

Try this link; https://support.turtlebeach.com/s/downloads?language=en_US#/367/VelocityOne-Flightstick

this might be a silly question but have you tried search by input in 2024? it’ll tell you what each is assigned to if any and you can reassign each function however you want it

Thanks - I have had a look under the page listed Velocity One Flightstick - Buttons and Control list - it for example mentions firstly - Control Name - Left Side A / B / X / Y and correspondingly for XBox Mode B5 / B6 / B7 / B8

I don’t know how this relates to the flightstick picture above in my post - that is for each part of the flightstick - for example the right lever - what is this in the control settings for flight sim 24 - such as that in the picture above

How do I change button 1 and button 4 - which is what the brakes are at the moment from the picture above - to the right lever ?

Also from the picture above - what is joystick button 24 and joystick button 25 on my flightstick ? - in order to operate the flaps using the flightstick

I have searched in the box - for example flaps - which tells me decrease flaps and increase flaps is joystick button 24 and 25 respectively- the problem is how do I change this on this screen so the increase decrease flaps is operated instead by the right lever of the flightstick ?

There is a settings cogwheel to the right -after clicking I get a whole list of joystick variables listed

I know how to reassign - you deselect the thing it’s assigned to like button 24 and 25 and select something else

The major problem which is the main thing here - where do I find out what each of the joystick variables are - in relation to the velocity one flightstick ?

Ok if I understand correctly you want to figure out what each joystick button or axis is labelled as in the sim so you know what to bind a function too?

  1. Open Settings in MSFS
  2. Go to Controls tab
  3. Select VelocityOne Flightstick from the device list on the left making sure you’re using the correct profile you want to change
  4. Next to the search bar click “Search by Input”
  5. Move or click ONLY the button or slider you want to change
  6. In the Search box it will display what what selected and you can see what it’s called in MSFS

The right side slider on the Velocity One flightstick is “Joystick Slider Y”

Yes - basically what I want to know is for each button on the velocity one flightstick - that is 4 left buttons, 4 right buttons, left lever, right lever, trigger etc - what is their label in the listing for the joystick variables - the list you get when you hit the cogwheel icon for a particular assignment

If I knew this - then I should be able to reassign easily - because for example if I wanted right lever for flaps - which is what I want - all I would do is search flaps in the search box, select the cogwheel to the right of increase flaps, decrease flaps - deselect the current assignment which is button 24 and 25, and then select the right one I want - which in this case is the right lever of the flightstick. The problem is I don’t know which of those joystick variables listed is the right lever of the flightstick

This applies to all the buttons of the flightstick and all the variable functions of the plane - rudder, brakes, flaps etc

If I can find out this information- and don’t know where to look - it would make things easier for me - in assigning particular plane functions to particular flightstick controls that I want

Hope that makes sense

See my above post. Outlined how to find that it in the sim settings

The Wheel on the right can confuse us.
Don’t let it confuse you.
Ignore it.

Click the “Search by Input” box.
Click a button/axis and see what control is mapped to that
button/axis.

You may get a list of controls mapped to that button/axis.

To delete a control mapped to that button/axis,
type the control in the “Search box”.
Its mapped button/axis is displayed.
Click the wheel and then the delete icon on the right.
Return (Back).

To map a button/axis to a control, type the controls name
in the “Search” box.
Click the mapped button/axis column on the right and then
press a button or move an axis.

If there is a button/axis mapped, the new assignment will
and a + to that existing button/axis mapped.
Like a keyboard action like Space + F.
To prevnt this , delete whatever is mapped first, then map your new button/axis.

If the control does not display, it is not mapped. (Assigned)
Click "Filter = “None”.
Search will display it. You can map it now.
