How to delete controller from pc? My unit will not recognize controller as anything but Xbox. Controller app from Microsoft does not give option to download app, only app info.
So the firmware and SIP update does add some cool functionality. Can’t wait until they finish all the features and get things like more SIP support and 4-engine aircraft configs ‘baked in’ to MSFS. That said; here’s what I’ve noticed in the SIP; some already discussed in the known bugs, but maybe something new:
- Autopilot flashes white constantly; will turn green if I turn on autopilot, then back to flashing white when off again
- Master caution flashes yello most of the time, and often without reason
- Master Warning doesn’t function
- When flaps extending/extended, the light goes on, but it’d be nice if it was yellow during transition, not just off or green. When you push the lever to retract flaps, the ‘flaps down’ goes off immediately, even while they’re transitioning. Again, it’d be nice if the light was yellow while transitioning.
- Stall warning works perfectly - kudos
- Ditto with parking brake
- Low fuel and Amp sometimes come on for no reason
- Chronometer still doesn’t work, but guessing that wasn’t part of this update
Any other SIP lights I should expect to be working that I didn’t mention? That’s all I’ve seen so far.
Three other questions for the masses: 1) since updating to the new firmware 1.1.0, has anyone else had an issue where the wheel in the aircraft will jerk violently right for just a second about every 2-3 minutes? Its like a stray signal makes the game think I’ve banking hard right, but only for ~1 second.

Are the A, B, X, Y buttons on my V1 supposed to light up? They don’t (using a PC)

Any trick to getting the V1 to not stick when pushing/pulling on the yoke? Its almost like it needs grease, but I don’t want to do that and screw it up.
I’ve only done a couple of flights in GA planes (XCub for now) so I do not have many hours with the SIP beta program, but here are a few things I’ve noticed.
I see the same Autopilot flash, which I think they have acknowledged on their Discord as something they will fix.
Haven’t seen Master Caution or Master Warning function yet, but I haven’t flown a plane with that, yet.
For flaps, I noticed that when fully retracted, the LED was off. Fully extended, it was green, and “in-between” states the LED was white. Will need to look at this during more flights in varied planes.
In the XCub, the low fuel worked properly, however it was based off of whichever fuel tank I had selected. When I ran low fuel on the left tank, and the SIP showed it, I changed to the right tank and the SIP light went off until that tank got low.
I have not seen any of the reported sudden or violent movements, but that has been mentioned on their DIscord. Not sure if it’s a sim thing or a peripheral thing. I think they said they’d look more into it.
I’m on PC, and I don’t think the A/B/X/Y buttons are illuminated.
Regarding sticking (mine is pretty smooth, but others have also seen it), how deep are you willing to go? Here is a detailed tear-down and analysis:

Nope, those are not illuminated on the xbox either, and also the xbox jewel button, only a white hole below this last one
Has anyone been successful configuring the reverse thrust on an Xbox Series X?
I followed the instructions exactly, but it does not work.

Wow, waaay above my skillset to attempt your fix, but “HEY TURTLEBEACH… HIRE THIS DUDE!!!”
Thanks… I’ll watch the flaps light again, maybe I missed the white while in transition. I’ll also have to try a flight with almost no gas to see if the low fuel comes on.
I read through that guy’s fix for some of the sticking issue.. way out of my comfort zone. That guy needs to get hired by Turtlebeach to troubleshoot designs.
I have them working fine, check Pilot / 0083 on his YouTube channel. There you’l find a video of how it’s done.
Thanks. It works now. I had to delete the previous assignments and redo it
Is there any indication when the SIP updates might make their way to Xbox?
yes, according to the discord channel 2-3 months after it runs smoothly on the PC …! and ms manages to implement it on the xbox. realistic? October! ;D
Which year?
a very good question
I confirmed the flaps LED behavior. I flew the B747-8. Flaps retracted, off. Fully extended (30 deg), green. All positions in-between, white.
Thanks. I’m gonna get mine on Amazon. Just gonna save a bit $$$
Try to release the lever to the 0 position right after bringing it down, it is like pressing a button.. struggled a bit when setting it on my series x the first time
Well I will say I do a lot of heavy FFB racing, which can be outright brutal and make you fairly sore.
I find in the non FFB world of a yoke, and PARTICULARLY with this V1, If I’m not paying attention I stop properly manhandling the aircraft, pulling back too gently and not muscling it back into position(GA aircraft) as one would in real life. The TRIM WHEEL is so good on this, I find myself using it way more than I should, trying tor replicate commercial AP level smoothness for climbouts and maintaining course.
The ‘sticky’ part is hidden in the finesse of the other axis and the trim wheel. For a 400KIAS twin jet, the absolute precision around neutral is mostly handled by working the AP, but you definitely find the ‘sticky’ there. In GA aircraft it’s mostly initiating any turn from a period of stationary or the final flare. If you really work the yoke in most instances it doesn’t stick. If the plane is flown approach out of ‘perfect trim’ and you have to work that yoke down to the ground, you won’t be in that delicate sticky zone that haunts about 1/4" of total travel.
I forgot how ‘delicate’ I have become with my yoke when I had the racing rig hooked up yesterday in PC cars 2 open wheel Renault(been about a month), holy ■■■■ felt like I was trying to keep a stack of weights from falling off the ends of a bench press, when I usually do that for 4+ hours.
The MAIN part is when we rest down pressure on the yoke and that slop really exacerbates it. Yes, the design could definitely use a large metal support for the yoke to keep it absolutely straight(or a molded in guide track). But in reality those 3 nylon bushings on the spring shaft(and probably a different compound plastic for the yoke guide too) could be reworked to allow the design as is to never bite. Really need to be a harder, ‘greasier’ nylon with no mold imperfections and adjusted tolerances. There is a whole lot of stuff going on with the yoke for only $350, so I’m not expecting carbon fiber, billet metal parts. It could be ‘aced’ for a revisit of 4 or 5 plastic pieces. In the racing world it’s very easy to throw down over $1k for just a replica steering wheel(no electronics), god forbid you want to go down the rabbit hole of a good set of pedals. So TB is offering a TON with this thing, I have Lego sets that cost twice as much.
For the sim, If they just fix that panel and MS puts some ■■■■ LIFE in to the world with other aircraft, fauna, and all the hidden submarines in the water surfaced where you could see them.. Maybe the hint of trains and power lines and towers? It’s like flying on a nice post-apocalyptic afternoon with nothing alive to see except earth-colored cars speeding into dangerous oblivion running from zombies or something… I guess they already ate all the farm animals. Seems like all I do between waypoints is see how well I can hold altitude with trim without AP.
My unit works fine on the XBox Series X, but bot on the PC. The QUAD is detected and shows in MSFS, but the YOKE does not show anywhere. I did update it before using it. I have tried everything I can so far, even uninstalling other devices. Searching Google led me to this forum, but I could not find anything like this other than a guy that re-installed the game and it started working… Has anyone else had this issue?
if you switch between PC and XBox, you will also need to switch the yoke input mode from XBox to PC and vice versa.
Yep, me too, I have setup the SIPS on the V1F and working FB for me as well.
The firmware up-date from v1.04 to v1.10 went swiftly for me. However I had to change the Xbox association in the Windows device manager back to USB device. I seems that the Turtle beach software utility is causing this. Because each time I use this utility my PC associates the V1F as an Xbox device
