VelocityOne - HAT-1 and HAT-2 issue

Hi, dear friends, I recently got this marvelous piece of equipment and am using it on xbox. I have the Microsoft Store version. Apart from some initial issues, also known and published by the developer (SIP not yet working…), I got into troubles when trying to use the functionalities of both HAT’s. While having the same profile on XBOX and VelocityOne, it seems that in Single Engine Prop they do not work, are not responsive. It should have enable me to use Instrument view and Camera Modifier, for example. Am I doing something wrong or it is not working yet. Any experience are welcome. Thank you

Initially had the same issue but a work-around: In order for the Next and Previous Instrument Views to function you need to initiate an instrument View. None of the controls do that, so I reprogrammed one of the other HAT position to trigger Instrument View 1 (I used one of the trim controls which i don’t use on small single engine planes). Once I get to the first instrument then those other Next-previous buttons do their job.

Much appreciated. Thank you. Will try tomorrow

As promised, I tried, and it is working  Not the planned solution nor the best approach from the developers, but so far it is working fine. I am only afraid there will be more issues like this. Have a great day. Thank you

jimj2001 Thanks for the info how to get next instrument H-1. Have not been able to program VF-1 to initiate any camera view. Can’t find ‘instrument view’ (PC) Only change instrument view. However if I use keyboard Ctrl+1 and get into an instrument view then H1 up/or down work. So that’s a good thing.

But it’s incredible to me that we users have to figure this out. And that’s only by searching forums and youtube.

(PC using additional profile Single Engine Prop)

Just look up simhangar’s setup(s) on youtube. Forget using the default controls, even if the ‘trainer’ thing doesn’t work.

I also find that the default ‘cockpit view’ is often lacking. For most aircraft I set my view height/zoom to where it feels like where my head really should be, and looking forward at what should be the horizon, then control+alt+1 to set the alt+1 view for each aircraft. Caranado aircraft in particular are TONS better with a customized ‘default’ view vs what they give you, where you sometimes feel like you’re 4’ tall yet still looking down when level even if you can’t see the nose of the aircraft.

I keep the standard ‘reset view’ on the yoke so I can then toggle through the cockpit views. The setup(s) in the videos above really cover just about everything, with extra available assignments to spare.
