Over the last two days, this seems to have gotten a lot better for me. After Patch #3, it took maybe 8-10 minutes to load past 14%. Now it’s taking closer to 30-40 seconds.

Just for info - installed the latest graphics card drivers again, activated GSYNC, removed FPS limitation, or try to set the monitor refresh rate in the nvidia graphics settings (nvidia control panel) - if locked - to ‘off’ or load for test purposes “default” setting and “bam” → loading language 10 sec. - total loading time 1:55 max !
so it is fixed that limiting the FPS probably changes the loading time - even possibly one of the settings in the game itself - VSYNC etc. - you would have to try it out!
BR !

Funny enough, this actually fixed it for me. Thanks!

For some reason, within the nvidia control panel I had the Max Frame Rate limited to 72 FPS. When turning it off, I got past the 6% Loading Language very quickly. And overall loading time was significantly reduced.

Wow, yes can also confirm this works. How bizarre. Why would locking the frame rate in Nvidia Control Panel cause the loading to get hung for so long?

how is this possible, how can the sim’s core speed be coupled to the gpu’s frame rate, makes 0 sense

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I have nothing in the Community folder, I have disabled every possible package, I reinstalled the sim yesterday AM, I reset my cloud save, I reset Nvidia CP settings, and it just took 9:19 to load the sim just now. The biggest issue is Activating Packages just sits for the longest time at 14% and then, when it resumes moving, it slowly proceeds.

I am out of options on what else I can do to reduce the installation configuration of the sim. This is not how this behaved prior to 1.2.7.0.

EDIT:
I looked in the “Base” package and discovered I could disable all of that, too, which I did.

Load time: 3:10 and it did not hang at Activating Packages 14%

What in the Base package is causing the load time to be 3x what it is when that package is enabled vs. disabled?

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

EDIT2:

I spent more time on this and noted that after I disabled all the Base content, upon restart the sim automatically reenabled just the aircraft and none of the other content. So those were enabled (without my knowing) when I timed the load at 3:10.

For science, I then went in and enabled just the aircraft for the Deluxe and Premium content packages.

There was zero change in loading time 3:10 to the second.

Therefore, in my case, the extended loading time since 1.2.7.0 is absolutely caused by the scenery, the animals, the challenges, and/or any other non-aircraft related content – it may even be some of these 2020 liveries (example in screenshot) that did not get automatically enabled.

• Start on Xbox, same problem, sometimes stuck at 14%.

• I couldn’t care less.

Fallout 4 had the same!
Unlocking it with a mod and loading went super fast.

So, as soon I cap the fps to 60 or whatever. The Loading Language at 6% will be there. Doesn’t matter which cap I use, Nvidia app, nvcp or rivatuner. All have the same effect.

I reproduced this issue much more than once. When resetting the FPS limiter in the Nvidia control panel the overall loading time is now about 3 min. DNSip4 and 6 is set to the cloudflare one s too.

I had similar problems (stuck at 97% loading)

For me ist is SOLVED with 1.2.8.0 release

6% loading still is not solved in 1.2.8.0

Moderator Edit:

Very long loading time, once in the career mode, the game is frozen! I restarted several times, still stuck! bandwidth too low, test and 750 mgb /s … forced to type ctrl alt sup !! I’m really starting to reconsider this purchase…

Same worked for me. Removed the Max Frame Rate and now the sim loads as expected.

Not solved for me either with the new patch, still the only thing that works is to remove the locked frames in Nvidia control panel.

I was hoping it would be fixed, but no luck, still hangs on loading languages at the 6% mark, takes 7.5 minutes to load if I have my frames locked through Nvidia Control Panel. Unlocked it loads in 1.75 minutes.

Mine was loading fairly quick until I reset my microsoft password yesterday then it started taking 10 minutes to load. I took some steps the support team recommended for some other issues I was having.
In your pc search for “cmd” and run as administrator> when it opens type “ipconfig /flushdns”. After that I rebooted my router, restarted my computer and now it loads when the quadcopter is flying after the hot air balloon. So about 2.5 minutes.

I haven’t had 10 minutes launch time but since the last patch, the game takes systematically an extra 30 seconds to launch.

Breakdown using Fastlaunch :
FS2020 with 50GB community : 2 minutes to launch menu
FS2024, empty community : 4 minutes to launch menu before last patch, 4.5 minutes since last patch

The devs said FS2024 startup would be faster than FS2020. The tech alpha was faster but not the “beta released game”.
I expect the startup to be even longer with upcoming updates, especially when they deploy the marketplace.
