Hello everyone, we have decided to release a scaled down event with the issues that people are facing with MSFS2024 the past few days. Everyone is welcome to this event.
If you need any assistance setting up a multiplayer flight on MSFS20204 I have listed some helpers at the bottom of this post.
MSFS2024 TEST EVENT:
When?: Saturday 23rd 17:00z
Server: North Europe, Live weather, All players
Aircraft: Max 130knts (Piston, Heli is all good)
Event Duration: 2hrs
Event Route: SKOR - SKPI(Break 10 mins) - SKGZ - SKNV (179nm)
Event Description: Come and join us for a test group flight on MSFS2024. The idea of this event is to test multiplayer fuctions and report any bugs back to Asobo/Microsoft.
Due to the current state of the sim bugs, CTD and issues are to be expected.
Even though the start time 17:00, we will depart at 17:15, this is to give anyone who has load in issues time to try and find a fix. Please ask on our discord if you need assistance, we will do our best to help.
If this event is successful then the main launch event will be rescheduled.
Tips on how to change multiplayer setting on MSFS2024 -
On the world map click the top right by your name, Make sure multiplayer is set to ‘‘All players’’ and that live weather is turned on please also turn AI traffic to OFF’’ These settings will help everyone see each other in the sim.
Next go to the main setting and click online on the left hand side, make sure the server is showing North Europe, scroll across until you find it if its not already set to this. Please make sure that show multiplayer aircraft has a blue tick and remember to tick to show namesigns to see other name signs.
Turning off static aircraft: To turn off static aircraft at airports please go to ** Graphics in the main option menu**, then scroll down until you see ‘‘Traffic airport quality’’ - please turn off
How to load the flight plan in MSFS2024:
Select your aircraft for the event, next click your EFB tablet on the world map (bottom right) set your fuel and load as to your preferences, next click the S looking sign on the tablet, scroll down until you see '‘Load Flightplan’’ Next import the PLN from your device. The last step is to click, ‘‘Send to aircraft avionics’’
Make sure the PLN route matches up and looks right by matching up the airports as listed above, next click fly and load into the sim! If you discover issues with it loading, try again while parked, you can find the EFB either in the cockpit or on the overlay menu bar at the top (Tablet picture) you can also ask for assistance on our discord and we will try our best to assist you.
Lastly for this to work you must use a DEFAULT FS2024 AIRCRAFT. As of yesterday imported FS2020 aircraft do not work with the EFB yet.
If you want to use your own imported aircraft or one from MSFS2020 you will need to use little nav maps or another navigational program to help with navigation. Alternatively you can also edit the garmin flight plan in the aircraft manually if you have one with your selected aircraft (by adding the airports in order on the list)
