Way back in FS 2004 you could:
- Plan your flight
- Begin your flight
- Call up the Flight Plan
- Cursor move your aircraft to a different position on that flight plan.
This could be done as often as one wanted, so flying over ocean one could ‘island hop’ to see the scenery in the places of interest instead of having to sit through hours of flying over featureless ocean or cloud cover It got you to airports you wished to experience without the tedium.
The only way I’ve found so far in this latest version is to increase the Sim Rate which just doesn’t function worth a hoot in a plane with no autopilot.
With that functionality having been available in earlier versions, I feel not having it available FS 2020 is a massive letdown.
I hope others share my view enough that the developers would consider it. Perhaps they are all too young to have enjoyed FS2004 or other versions that had that feature but I’m sure if they could experience it, they would put it on the drawing board for a near-future update.
Thanks for reading this and I hope I’m not just overlooking it in the current version. Slap me upside the head if I am.
