Virtual desktop and VR help for Quest 2

Hi
Can anyone please explain to me how to set up virtual desktop on my PC to work with Microsoft store version of the flight simulator.

I have virtual desktop on my quest and PC that’s all working fine I just can’t work out how to get VR working with the simulator

I just can’t seem to understand what software I run first or when and how to enter VR.
Do I need Steam VR ?

Sorry if you think I’m being stupid

Any help would be greatly appreciate

You can also try oculus airlink. You can activate it inside the headset settings.
You do need a good wifi 5 connection though.
Works better for me than Virtual Desktop.

Once airlink is established with your computer you can go into FS2020 and hit Ctrl + Tab to enter VR mode.

I was going to try virtual desktop as a lot of people think the new version gives good performance with less stutters.

I will try Airlink as well.

@OP,
With Virtual Desktop, you need to start SteamVR and start with maybe 120% video resolution. Then on the SteamVR settings Developer (I think) TAB, select SteamVR as OpenXR active runtime (MSFS is OpenXR). Now, you can CTRL+TAB and connect to MSFS.

NOTE: I prefer Airlink @200Mbps/3648EncodeWidth/ASW45/SS=1.6/FOV0.75;0.75/Sharpening=Enabled

Hi
Thank I will try both options today and report back.

What was the verdict?
