Vision Jet (unable to look left / right etc inside cockpit)

I am unable to look left / right etc using joystick hat when inside the cockpit of the vision jet using any profile. Outside the aircraft works ok. All other aircraft I have tried work ok

It does change views but they are very strange.

sounds like a binding conflict… check the vision jet view bindings for conflicts

I flew the vision jet yesterday in VR. For me look right actually looked left, and look left looked up and I could not look right. Definitely they should review the cockpit camera in this aircraft.

Works fine in all other aircraft I’ve tried so it is not a binding thing.

Hi @englishdjh ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

I have this exact same problem with the MS/Asobo Vision jet, so this is a definite bug that needs fixing.

Definitely a bug. I am using the default profiles, no binding conflicts. Works fine on other planes. This is a thrustmaster 1600 btw. Not sure why this topic was moved. Do I need to create a new one? The instructions above seem to imply that.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

Hi @englishdjh ,

When creating a bug report please do not delete the template. It contains key fields for the devs in order to reproduce the issue and log it in their system. It is also intended for other users that want to contribute to it.
So if no existing report exists in the Bug Reporting Hub , you can create a new one using the template.

Thank you !

I guess that’s how bugs work, because I can look left / right inside the Vision Jet cockpit.

Zero problems here using either the default keyboard settings [shift + j] and [shift + l] or “Cockpit view yaw axis” mapped to the analog thumbstick on my Virpil joystick. For good measure I just went in and mapped “Cockpit View Left” and “Cockpit View Right” to hat buttons on the stick. Works fine.

I suspect that the issue is … not a bug, but lies elsewhere.

Agreed, I suggested that they have a binding conflict causing this problem.

Almost certainly so. Or some other hardware issue. But folks LOVE to blame the game for all their problems.

Personal Comments and Observations

Which Vision Jet? The MS one that came bundled with FS 2024, or FFX’s Vision Jet that was sold on the Marketplace for FS 2020? (yes, I’m making a distinction for a reason)

If it’s the 2024 Bundled Jet, I already have an existing bug report.

Ahhhh, is OP trying to use the quickviews, default mapped to [Shift + f] and [Shift + h]? Yeah those seem to be broken.

Never occurred to me to check those because I would never operate my views that way. Carry on then.

Exact same problem that does not exist on other aircraft. Quickview right looks left etc. This is borked and it does not matter if you use joystick hats or keyboard bindings to get around it - the result is always the same.

NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AS IT BREAKS A FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTION OF LOOKING AROUND QUICKLY

HENCE QUICKLOOK

I guess you were wrong and there was something wrong with the game after all.

In this specific instance, regarding this specific problem? Yes. Which I noted above, when it became clear that the OP was talking about quickviews.

I’ll continue to stand by my statement as a generality though.
