Thank you for the update !
Iā€™m having some little bugs :

  • the G3X map doesnā€™t display the terrain, just black
  • the propeller RPM switch doesnā€™t seem to be working

I am new to this thread so I apologize if these issues have already been adressed.

Iā€™ve seen a few people over the course of this thread with black display backgrounds. Iā€™ve seen others have it in other addons as well.

Just be sure you have the very latest VL3 mod and WorkingTitle G3X mod. For ours go to the right side and it says Releases (then in green Latest - click on that)

(scroll down to bottom and click on G3X dev version)

Strangely the RPM knob is still inoperative, canā€™t adjust the %..happened to me also with the default VL3, even before the first install of the mod.

Itā€™s a bandaid fix, but try mapping a keyboard key or peripheral button to increase prop RPM etc.

Does the default cockpit view appear zoomed in to anyone else or have I messed something up? I notice itā€™s zooming to 50% instead of the usual 23% when defaulting the view (pressing ā€˜Fā€™ or ā€˜CTRL+SPACEā€™)

This should fix the rpm knob. Basically, itā€™s reverted to how it functioned before Asoboā€™s latest patch.

In fact, I was wrong. The zoom level is fine, its the seat position by default appears to be too far forward (or something to that effect).

Anyone else experiencing this? All other aircraft including the default VL3 donā€™t have this and are absolutely fine. It only started after the latest update to fix the white squares.

I just got the original generic POH directly from JMB company.
They allowed me to share it, as it is a generic one.
@ryanbatc please add it to the Github repo for the others!

Yep, the camera position is closer than the default VL3. There was some discussion about that some time ago in this thread. I donā€™t recall what the consensus was.

We had the actual POH for creation of the mod. We were told to not share it. If they told you its okay to post the generic one thatā€™s fine with me.

I have just installed this mod and Iā€™m rediscovering this superb little plane.

I also noticed the default view feel unnatural. Both the position and FOVs have been altered.
I do not use TrackIR, and I use the 3 standard camera positions to switch between VFR, IFR and Taxiing.
MSFS has good enough consistency between planes on that front for traditional single display users like me.
Iā€™d have preferred this setting to have stayed standard.

EDIT : I just tried to compare the Official VL3 camera file and the community VL3 camera file, I couldnā€™t find any differenceā€¦
Is Asoboā€™s camera also broken ?!? I do not remember it being like that before

I also have a totally different question.
Using the G3X improvement from the WorkingTitle GX mod, after turning the autopilot off, the red ā€œAPā€ warning keeps blinking forever. I havenā€™t found how to turn it off.
My default joystick AP OFF button is configured as an AP toggle (default behaviour of the sim)
I tried modifying it to AP disconnect only and pressing the button multiple times, to try and stop the light from blinking, but it does not work.
