VR Cockpit Focus / Zoom inconsistency across aircrafts

The Cockpit Focus feature is one of the most critical features to fly in VR, yet I find this to be incredibly inconsistent across aircraft. Some planes just don’t have it implemented, others can only zoom in some parts of the cockpit. I am assuming the SDK doesn’t make this implementation easy, hence the inconsistencies?

In theory, if defining the boundaries of a cockpit is part of making an aircraft in MSFS, this feature should work across all aircraft without additional setup since you are just moving the camera from the default cockpit position to the boundary in the direction you are looking.

Anyhow, if anyone has more information regarding this, I would love to know.

Yeah I’ve noticed this too and it makes no sense!

I did some digging and it does look like the inconsistency is because the “panel collision mesh” is not defined consistently across the planes.

You can read more about it in here.

Unfortunately this does make it difficult to mod I think :frowning: .

Do we have a list anywhere of freeware aircraft that DO have this function working?

I just want an Airbus to fly other than an A320 that I can VR zoom with. It saddens me that an aircraft with the same cockpit can’t just be copied over to another plane :frowning:
